It doesnt command a territory, other animals dont vacate those 28 acres, just other mice give them room.
the fact that some psychotic researchers did an experiment where they kept putting 2 grasshopper mice of the same sex in a small box, to discover the highly amazing news that territorial animals will fight and that the fight has grave consequences when there is no option for one of them to run off does not make the mice hard, just antisocial. Fortunately they stopped at this research so no-one has checked the outcome for higher numbers of mice.

The Mouse is hard and you well know it, it ticks all the boxes. Not to say the HB doesnt, but the constant slagging off from the HB fan boys is boring, Only one person presenting the argument, the rest just slagging off the Mouse.
They squeek. Sure a long and loud squeek. And the squeeking is a regular part of their behaviour to let other mice know they are about (territorial). It is witnessed after hunting because they sneak up on their prey so before hunting would be pretty stupid.

That's just plain lies, they are very territorial animals. AWFUL dishonest tactics.

I'm not referring specifically to this round. You know full well that the odds are constantly stacked MASSIVELY against the HB throughout tournaments. People will vote for all sorts of nonsense to try to knock it out.

For what it's worth, the creatures it often chases out of those holes are Kangaroo Rats (5 times heavier than the Grasshopper Mouse) or Prairie dogs - weighing in at around 35 TIMES the mass of the mouse, 2-3 times the size.
