How HUNGOVER are you?

Thought I'd lucked out last night. I went to a party while my wife looked after the kids. This morning, while the rest of the family sit happily watching television or laughing I have about a GRADE THREE hangover. Mercifully I had six hours sleep but that time seems to have just been used to turn a very nice night in to a ball of pain. I am two ibuprofen and a VERY strong cup of coffee in without any noticable difference other than that I might write to the writers of Dinosaur Train suggesting that they do one off a cliff. The same thing's happening to the telly when Dora the Feckn Explorer finds her cheery bi-lingual way on to the box in five minutes.

Calling my eyes pissholes in the snow would probably be complimentary and any minute now I will end up with a BUM like the Japanese FLAG. I am alternating between the ideas of never eating again and visiting a nearby Maccy Ds to order the whole menu washed down with two litres of Fat Coke.

Luckily I'm doing dry January so I will have 31 odd days to contemplate if I actually really will never drink again.

You?

It's hard enough for local pubs to survive especially during January without someone coming up with the idea of dry months.

I spend disproportionately more time and money in pubs in December. Can business owners really not come up with a budget that deals with seasonal fluctuations?

No hangover at all. Although it might kick in when I start to sober up.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I reckon I'm about a 7. So feeling quite rough.......

Went to the in-laws last night and stayed over, joined by my folks too as I have a 5 month old daughter and aS lovely to see in New Year as a United family. Nanna and Grampy spent the night downstairs with our Peanut so me and the missus could get a full nights sleep (the first in 5 months) so we hit it quite hard last night. And am now paying for it.

Sitting here thinking about it I've actually only had 5.5 hours so I'm not surprised I feel ****. Just done the alcohol count and there is a bin liner full of empty beer/cider cans, wine bottles and an empty Jaegermeister bottle which concerns me. I was on the Westons cider last night and I've personally got 8 empty bottles so I may not be driving home until later this afternoon!!!

The mother in law is in the process of cooking what seems like an epic fry up with all the trimmings (including fried bread by the looks of it) so I shall kick the missus out of her coma in a minute and its either kill or cure!!!
My 5 month old decided she wanted to celebrate the turn of midnight in practically every single timezone on the planet, i.e. hourly between 11 and 7, so whilst I don't have a hangover, I do feel like I need to curl up in bed and sleep till 2016.

On a scale of 1 to 10 only about a 4 this morning. Didn't go too mad last night. A few pints in the pub, home, Jools Holland on the telly and a curry from the take away next door to the pub with a rather nice bottle of Saint Emilion. Bed about 3 I think.

Not hungover but I'm rather unwell. I started to feel ill on 30th and was spewing up violently all night and sweating heavily and feeling achy. To complicate matters I was in Barcelona and due to fly midday yesterday. We decided to attempt the flight but It was hell, I looked a total mess, could hardly string a sentence together and stank to high-heaven as I was too ill to wash... but thankfully the spewing had stopped.

Happy new year

Got in at half 5 and still haven't been to bed to yet. In a world of trouble as I know full well if I go to sleep now I'll be out til at least 5pm and it'll take me a good while to readjust my sleeping pattern. On the plus side the hangover is a mild 3/10

So was your attempt at the flight a success, or did you give it up? Are you back home?

Get well quickly, HT.

After a night of many Punk IPAs, and a glass of Prosecco at midnight, and red wine later, bed at 3, I feel remarkably chipper. No signs of a hangover at all.

Tired, though.

After that fry up I feel feel a bit worse actually. For some reason it's kick started my stomach into a washing machine spin cycle:nono::nono: No headache but feeling a bit dizzy and ever so knackered. I've brushed my teeth 5 or 6 times and can still taste a damn jägerbomb :Nono:

My head's OK, but my voice has gone - we were doing in-house karaoke with friends from 22:30-02:45. What a great track Safety Dance is....

Thanks mate. Yes I made the flight and arrived home at 5pm yesterday. The flight was tortuous though. And being ill and so far from home is not a nice feeling either. Starting to feel better, have managed to move to the sofa now but a Punk IPA still feels some time away....a Brewdog will be the true test of well-being!
