He's involved in petrochemicals, lives in Switzerland most of the year and is allegedly too superstitious to attend games in case he jinxes the team.

According to recent accounts, he has two large loans of around £8m each in the club and its holding company, but according to his chairman his total investment is much bigger than that. Whether FFP has been explained to him - and whether he cares much - is unknown.

I am assuming you have some inside information regarding your comments as you seem very sure of yourself and Brighton accounts.
One thing that you have overlooked is that we have a new stadium and new training facility and new everything else so therefore we will still be off setting this against any profit or loss which would not be financially good business sense if we made out we were doing better than we were from the revenue point of view .In laymans terms for you ....Brighton would be stupid to make out they are doing better as they would pay tax ,regardless of what business it is if you make a profit you pay tax on that profit if you make a loss you dont .All Tony Blooms investments in the Albion if they are incurring interest etc etc will be offset against any future profits.Palace and other clubs were in debt through negligence not investment in bricks and mortar .

Don't let the facts get in the way of another snidey little Palarse fan's manipulation of the truth, how the hell can they comment on anything remotely to do with FFP? They are one of the culprits that has brought this upon football, rack up loads of debt, get to the promised land, go into admin and start all over again. When I started up my business a long while ago I was not in profit for quite a few years as I bought machinery ,I invested in premises and people, etc etc the list goes on and in turn did not pay tax for a number of years,this is not saying I wasnt making money but I was just reinvesting ,when I started making a profit the first thing my accountant said was you need to reinvest as it will be off set against any profit you make so your better off having equipment new premises etc than paying it in tax, as by reinvesting this will in turn grow your business and you will have more assets and the business will be worth more and the tax man will be paying for it ..it is called tax avoidance not tax evasion and it is how it is done and how business grows...do you see where I am going Se20.Mr Bloom has invested in a football club and a stadium and a training ground which because it is new will have implications for years on the tax they have to pay ,he and other business`s would be commiting financial suicide if they showed they were doing well or ok on a new business .

We struggled to compete in the modern era at this level (not withstanding the current plight) with Withdean,go back further and we clung to our very existence with averages of 2,500 & 3,200 at Gillingham in the basement,gates i may add that even the Cherrie's would be proud of at that level and we were playing 70 miles away..

Go back further still,and in the First Division 1979-83 we lacked seats,we only had the West and top tier of the South and thanks to a fire after the Middlesborough game we went all seater in the South stand even then we only had 5000 seats and had to add the Lego stand.....

The seats were worth more income,even though at the time the Goldstone had a relatively high capacity..

Everything we have now should ensure we stabilize at this level,no guarantee either but would i swap with AFC Bournemouth? no..
