New Season Ticket cards

I'd suggest to allow for any snagging problems with post etc (and avoid queues on day) with many fans travelling away from home on holiday or perhaps having to make plans to exchange tiks with family etc or meet others in their group, probably at least a week or two if they really had any thought or consideration ?

Any jobs suitable for you at the club ?

Exactly this. Sending things out this late allows no time for postal problems, errors on the smartcards, mistakes or any of the above. It's not a major issue and not the end of the world but it's common sense to allow a bit of room for manoeuvre. I accept the ticket office has had some upheaval during the close season but these delays and lack of efficiency are hardly out of character.

Yet we have a Chief Executive who responds to fans e-mails at all hours of the day, however ridiculous the question - yes, it is awful customer service which is a corporate blob in the game.

Oh hang on....

If the "Paul Barber ethos" was evident in the customer services and transport team then there would no reason to complain!

Were we not informed that the ticketing operation has been outsourced - or is my memory playing tricks ...

I heard something along those lines either the ticketing or the cust services have been relocated to the Overline office in Worthing. Regarding the posting of the actual season tickets that is also outsourced and had been since the later Withdean years (I worked for that company for 4 years). They can only send them as and when they receive all the info and materials from the club (database and smart cards) and then depending on the volume that need to be matches together and sent out will impact on the time.
If the figure is roughly 4k that wouldn't take more than a couple of hours once all the letters are printed and then would arrive within 48hrs.
If the club only sent the cards and database on Monday expect them either today or tomorrow.
It used to be a lot more organised from what I can remember when we were at the Withdean but also the numbers were a lot less.
That said as the MD is a fan this job never goes wrong and is also done ASAP.

This. Literally no reason to leave it this late.

Not got mine either.

But then I don't need it till Saturday and they said from the start that they would be sent out this week.

Then it would appear I was lied to on the phone last week, as I was assured a club official had gone out on Friday to supervise their mailing and would certainly have it Monday or Tues. Incompetence is one thing, but I don't expect to phone the club because of it and be told some old yarn.

Bloody joke that they have left it so late. I'm sure they'll arrive. But why take the risk? There must be a very good reason other than total incompetence.

Most companies who rely on the postal service to deliver their items tend to put whatever orders are ready out for collection on a daily basis. If I order tickets for a show or concert that is a few weeks away I usually receive my tickets within a couple of days of ordering them. I've never understood why The Albion leave everything to the last minute. It is the same every year. Possible legitimate excuse is that the smart cards have to be manufactured and they probably wait to make them all at once but parking is another matter-they clearly send them out separately to ST so why wait to get them out? They don't seem to procrastinate when it comes to our direct debit payments .
