Hmmm, Norfett is going to be confused!!

I wasn't expecting to set the world alight.
But by the time I got home I'd convinced myself I'd done a decent enough time to at least be creditable.

But no, sixty flaming ninth out of 220.
Over a quarter of the bloody times quicker than my fat little legs could carry me, with a fairly strong tail wind.
Most freakin mornings you can't soddingwell drive down the naffin road averaging 27 mph.
Turn to 2 wheels and robo-cyclists blasts down there at thirty buggering three mph.

And I'm now tired from the effort, at least I can hide that well.

Really got to feel for Nizzolo again.

Forever 2nd place behind Bouhanni it seems in the Giro, and today he crashes out on the only Dauphine stage that had his name written all over it. Add to that the weak sprint field here and the fact that the best sprinter in the race Demare blew it, Nizzolo would have won today I'm sure. And no, I didn't have money riding on him, or anyone else for that matter.

I'm still really struggling to find a 650c for junior.

I remember when we first were looking and got the Colnago, there were loads about esp Euskatel Obrea's.
Now not a sign of anything.
I've been outbid on ebay for a few, I had to stop bidding silly money for a tired looking 10 year old Trek.

The process isn't helped by stunning bikes like this appearing:-

Have you tried decathlon? Some of their bikes are pretty good, and the smaller sizes come in 650. Might be a little expensive but worth a look.

What on Earth have you quoted?!

Are you and\or Hamilton going out for a ride Saturday morning? Anyone else for that matter?

2 of my horrors are off at cub camp, the other is with my parents, so its either a ride, or start building a new shed….

We can't have you building a new shed, so I'll get my bones outta bed. Will clear with Mrs Hamilton as away on business on Sunday and she may have plans. Pogue Mahone what about you?

Yes, should be available. The 'other' fellas are suggesting a 100 miler to Leith Hill, Box Hill etc. - but I need to be back in Brighton by lunch time, so can't do that ride.

So let's sort out our own. Scouse Matt might come too!

Pier at 8.30?

T'is a shame I've let myself go.
This Saturday is one of the 3 or 4 a year I could have said yes too.

There's no way I'm prepared to humiliate myself, in front of you mile munchers.

I've been shocking so far this year, talking of humiliation, this was no more highlighted than at the end of a Brighton Excelsior club ride a week or so ago, going up the steep but short climb going south down Coombes lane where I thought it would be a good show to attack the front of our group…..I got clear only to suddenly get cramp in both hamstrings and calves and one thigh - nearly falling off causing the rest of the group to take evasive action! Not sure if I'm going to be invited again….although I think they enjoyed the laugh.

Come on SB! We'll head over your way - that way we will already have 20+ miles in the legs before you join us. You know it makes sense...

I seem to remember this iconic jersey being spoken about here, I know not why.
Anyone interested should know it's likely to come up small a la Errea replicas:-

Can you put stuff on your Strava log retrospectively, if you didn't record a ride at the time?

I cycled to & from work yesterday & forgot to record each ride. Just wondered if I can update it manually, as it were.

If it's still on your computer it'll be fine, although I'm beginning to doubt that now!!, but I'm pretty sure that's fine.

Yes, just go to upload on the website then click manual - you can put the distance and time in from there.

Oh sweet, thanks

I'm contemplating riding in again today, although as I don't finish my shift until midnight, I'll have to go out and buy a set of reasonably decent lights first.

My first ever ride to work yesterday. My route, normally filled with speeding motorists, was beautifully quiet at 4:45am, it felt like quite a privilege to have the Mid Sussex countryside to myself (didn't need lights then as the sun had just come up). :)
