Awful news for him, and also our hopes.

Our great away form this season is very much done to Crofty with both his goals and work rate.

Gutted...

This is hammer blow. Despite yesterday's result losing Barnes , crofts and probably Bridcutt in one week, feels like the final nail in the coffin of play off hopes!!!

I am gutted too but it's far from the first time this season we've had bad luck with injuries. This season we've had a number of key players out for long periods e.g. Orlandi, Bridcutt, Ulloa, CMS, KLL etc. Despite this, Oscar has taken us to 6th in the league.

It's a massive blow but we have to have faith in Oscar. He has improved a lot of our players so much compared to last season (Crofts is arguably the most improved) and he will find someone to fill the gap left by Crofts. They may not be exactly the same player as Crofts but we had Agustien and Orlandi on the bench yesterday, who are both very good at this level, and JFC wasn't even in the squad.

Don't take this as me not being gutted about Crofts, as I think he's been fantastic this year and probably player of the year so far, just that we do have options and we're doing well despite having had an awful run of injuries.

Terrible news for us, we need to find a midfield terrier shortly or perhaps use Ince with Andrews as holding midfielder.

Judging by the cock up Ince made with the goal chance at the end it doesnt appear that he will be able to fill Crofts shoes. Perhaps we should follow the rumour in early December on here and chase Renan Bressan an attacking Belarus midfielder who is available on a free

I think we'll eventualy look back on this season and think what if. We'll battle manfully no doubt but even the deepest squads eventually get found out with such a run of injuries to its best players.

Ince does have an issue with the final ball which is a great shame but I am sure as he progresses and gets more confident this will easily be resolved.

I think some people are overreacting. Yes Crofts has been great so far this season, but Oscar coped with all the injuries earlier in the season and all the unrest over the Summer. Orlandi, although not as good at tackling as Crofts is technically one of the best players in the squad.

This is really disappointing news for him and the club, his contribution this season has been under rated. Thought he has played very well this season, terrible news.

I agree he's been great but I'm not sure he's been under rated. If you look at the reaction on here and the number of people saying he was player of the season so far, I think a lot of people realise how good he's been.

Our best two players of the season out this week, Barnes and crofts.

Andrews, Upson and Ward have been much better than Barnes IMO. Stats suggest this too (Barnes has had most of our clear cut chances). He should be on at least 10-12 this season, not 6:24!!

UNBELIEVABLE. He missed a chance after running his arse off for 95 minutes and because of this alone is now not fit to fill Crofts shoes. Some of our fans are hilarious.

certainly big candidate for player of the season.
time for Orlandi or Agustien to step up.
both have the ability and with Ince and Andrews behind them
should have the freedom to play
