If you can't laugh at your rivals getting stuffed 4-1 at home then you must have had some sort of operation to remove the footballing part of your anatomy.

Even funnier, of course, is that this was a game that they genuinely thought they would win.

Failure to beat Yeovil is a worse crime than losing to Fulham. We should be hanging our heads in shame at that pitiful display on Saturday. Whoopee...I'm ecstatic that Palace are struggling. It really cheers me up. Does it hell! I'm only concerned about BHA. I don't spend half my life worrying what CPFC are doing. I don't subscribe to this club. It is a club for the bored and uninitiated, of which they are clearly lots on this forum. I only worry about 23 other clubs in the Championship, of which Yeovil are one and quite the worst and who we singularly failed to beat.

We're allowed to laugh at Palace. The Palace fans I know have had this attitude of "so what if we lose every game, we'll come back down with £120m then piss the Championship and go up stronger and be competitive in the Premier League". After eight games it would seem that the appetite for ritual humiliation in every game is not quite as strong as it was.

Now they've got a squad of below-standard players that have presumably been lured on the basis of wages, and who will probably have no appetite for Championship football, and could be difficult to offload.

Judging by the messageboards and the R5 phone-in last night, fans' patience with Holloway is wearing thin.

Palace are coming down with an almight crash, and when they do I suspect we'll find ourselves in a stronger position than them. So what if our depleted squad couldn't win at Yeovil? The bigger picture should be pretty obvious to even a casual observer.

(By the way, I don't think Brighton would be doing much better had we won the play-offs. Neither club was ready.)

Because we lost to them in the play-offs, we cant laugh at them when they are in a much worse position than us (on and off the pitch, except for the money anyway) just because they beat us ? Who cares, they are our effing rivals - when your rivals are playing like shite - you laugh at them and take the piss, regardless of your own teams issues. Its called rivalry, and its clear that certain people on here dont want it, in which case football isnt for them.

Genuinely find it funny how some of our own "fans" think that drawing 0-0 to Yeovil is worse than being humiliated 4-1 at home to an off-form team who dont score many goals or come back from losing positions and now ending up 19th in the league, Palace should be grateful for Mr Poyet propping up the table for them - taking their rightful spot at the bottom, for now anyway.

I was at the Yeovil game, we had our chances in the last ten mins to win the game (when we started playing) and we will win more games than we loss between now & Jan, whereas those up the road will not

I am quite pleased that Palace are struggling, but at the end of the day, not that bothered at what they do.

The first result I have always been interested in is Brighton, even at the basement of the Football league and playing away at Hereford. What is going on at the moment is a minor blip in the great scheme of things. That does not mean I am assuming that, when everybody is fit, we will be pushing for a play-off place. It is not, however, beyond the realms of possibility. Neither is it impossible that we will be in a relegation struggle at the end of the season. I don't think we will but, if it happens, at least it would make the back end of the season interesting. Maybe it is decades of being a Brighton fan that means that every season's first priority is to avoid relegation.

In the meantime I will be in my seat at the AMEX next Monday, somewhat trepidatious about what might happen against Watford, well aware that we could beat them, but also well aware that we could get turned over.

Life's like that. Funny old game, football. Whatever happens, I will still be here next season.
