What'll be next for the Amex Multiplex?

There's is a decent size out of town size place near Bournemouth too.

Personally I have always found them abit well shit. Money & planning no issues I would go update Churchill Sq, continue it down to the seafront including a cinema then rebuild a new Brighton centre with room for a Basketball & Ice Hockey teams.

Would make a world of difference.

Chances of it happening in my lifetime? I'm 24 but the way this city rejects anything new would make it slim, also even more amazing we managed the Amex.

As skipper has pointed out to you, there is a supermarket / retail park in HEDGE END.

Botley is a village with about 2 shops.

Fair enough if it were just for club use. If its intended to attract major events, it would be a waste of money. The new one at Derby already looks like being a total white elephant. Newport can't attract any events and hasn't the cash to update. Manchester, Glasgow, London is plenty. Some would argue, Manchester on its own was plenty.

Latest news on the Cricket Ground, they are building the new stand with council money and the Company that's building it has gone bust. Incidentally there is an Hotel built just adjacent.

1. No. We've long since established that TCB was talking about a Bluewater style shopping centre, rather than a supermarket and a B&Q. Otherwise Brighton has an equivalent at Hollingbury and the entire discussion is pointless. I stated that there is no out of town shopping development, of the kind he referred to, on the edge of Southampton. There isn't.

2. If you suggest that I should drive through the Hedge End retail park to get to the cricket ground, then you really don't know the area like the back of your hand at all.

3. Botley and Hedge End indeed are nearby. Just like the Amex is near to Woodingdean. If I stated the Albion had built the stadium in Woodingdean, I'd be wrong. Just like you are.

It did occur to me, instead of building a velodrome, we could just board round the inside of The Amex.
One massive velodrome.
