Nearly 50% of current Premier League stadiums are smaller than ours, can't see what the problem is

And only 6 in the championship are bigger than ours, I think 30k and a bit is more than enough for us.

It is not a question of problem, it is a question of fulfilling potential and ambition.

We've struggled to sell out this season with less than 30k, the draw of a tiny handful of games a season in the premier league is hardly a reason to then have 10k empty seats when Stoke/Fulham/Wigan/Everton/Villa/Newcastle/Norwich/SCC/Sunderland/Swansea/West Brom/West Ham come to play

100 percent this
A few other clubs mentioned it too.

Great news I thought a few more might have drop out and would take a chance of getting a seat/seats on general sale now due to the larger capacity this season.
I suppose the pricing structure on each game now just makes sense to get a season ticket.
I thought that too but i guess people are settled in now where they sit and who with. I simply don't want to lose my seat and i guess many others feel the same way.

The club have been quire rightly maximising revenue therefore prices have stayed the same for every game. Brighton will get 40,000 even 50,000 for Man U, Spurs, Arsenal plus a few other clubs even at £50 a ticket. You are right however, Brighton would not, even a West Brom with a price reduced to £30 get much more than 30,000 to 35,000. They would however get 30,000 for almost every game in the top flight and 40,000 if we had a good season. You do have a point but its not as simple as you portray, and the issue does remain how the club will expand at Falmer over the next 10 years.

If we get promoted and stay up I can see an increase to 33k and then 35k being seriously looked at.

It would be simply be to expensive and pointless raising the capacity by a few thousand for the amount of work involved.

One that springs to mind is one about transport where I made precisely this point and the NSC perceived wisdom was that I and a couple of others were deluded. I think I made the same point in the threads about Arsenal at home this year and the Newcastle cup game of last year.
By Arsenal this year and Newcastle last, we already knew we were selling tickets well. That's a bit late to help with the stadium design.

I wasn't asked and wouldnt expect to be asked about stadium design and at the time getting planning for the current capacity was bad enough. However if you are asking, then yes, I did say at the time that Brighton playing Arsenal, Man U, Spurs and even Palace and Pompey would need more than 30,000. Didnt you as it was so bloody obvious for the reasons I have said above? Incidentally I also said at the time that Murray was given away that it was a bad decision. I know, I'm a right smart arse.

That's 5 teams, and only 3 would be in our division at a time, so not enough reason on its own.

I think we all wanted him to stay, but when we found we were getting CMS pretty much everyone here thought we had the better player. Obviously both would have been nice, but there are budget limits.

I'm not an architect and professionals would have a better idea, but perhaps a North Upper could be added if the offices move to the training ground. South East corner looks as if it could accomodate another shelf, maybe ???

Safe standing is an obvious if it's ever legal.

The capacity can definitely increase by several thousand if the seats are moved together. There is presently a gap of about one and a half inches between them.

And Working class pride. Wow. You are really excelling today. I used to think you just had fairly strong views. Now I am beginning to believe you're just on a wind-up.
