Always had very good curries there, went to the Mahaan in Worthing Friday night which was top dollar in curry terms

We used to go their once a week and never had a complaint but in the last 6 months it seems IMO to have gone downhill maybe they've changed all the kitchen staff recently or we've just been unluckily, but we now go to the one round the corner called The Curry Place and it's really good , we went back to the cottage this week to see if it had improved but like I said felt disappointed again I'll have to try the Mahaan in Worthing never been there

I would check out the history of failed health inspections at the Curry Place - not good at all.

Another good one in Worthing is the Royal Jaipur

Just next to The Curry place is The Yasmin takeaway which is without doubt the best takeaway around always good to have an open kitchen there's nothing to hide that way , the chicken tikka Dansak is:thumbsup:

The Seagulls Chat forum will never be close to NSC for numbers or posts and threads and it's never going to be any type of competition, the people who started it did not do it because we didn't get our way here at all. We were told and it's clear the feeling is still the same that how we wanted to chat and interact did not suit NSC, we were told over and over again 'we just didn't get NSC'.
We quietly went somewhere else, we don't mean any harm to NSC or it's members we just want to get on with chatting the way we like it.
Absolutely fair enough. NSC isn't for everybody and NSP started exactly the same way. It's a shame you didn't try and join up with Brightonfans.com, which is also a forum for people who don't like the beargarden that NSC can be at times, but seagullschat is definitely a great-looking site and has probably eclipsed Brightonfans.com as the home of the non-NSC community.

However my respect for the founders of seagulschat has now been tempered with the fact that apparently issued a legal threat against Bozza and NSC. I'll keep my thoughts about the vindictive, spiteful and unpleasant nature of those people to myself.

I don't bear any grudges - I think some people were just getting a bit over-excited a little while ago and everything quickly blew over.

By far the busiest non-NSC Albion message board was, and easily still is, 'BOMB', which I believe originated from when the club used to host a message board on the official site - Brighton Official Message Board - Bomb Message Board ~ Runboard.

There's plenty of choice out there.

That issue was nothing to do with forums but the nature of personal attacks allowed here, it would have happened whether the new forum had been set up or not. Before you call anyone vindictive, spiteful and unpleasant go back and read some of those personal attacks many of which are still published on this site.
The owners here know the nature of those attacks and why legal matters were mentioned, I am very sad they were brought up in this thread.

Not ideal to have a sneaky look at at work when GOSBTS blairs out from your PC speakers on the home page.

Interesting, may I enquire on what grounds?

If its similar to what they aimed at NSP it involved vindictively trying to get the site shut down because they had said some nasty things about the posters involved. They did this by trying to highlight the occasional ironic use of racism and links to some porn websites as though this meant the website was illegal.

pathetic, extremely childish and they tried it more than once, which means the SC crew really don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to trying to make out they are the mature, adult alternative website.

Let me get this right,
Somebody, on a message board, said something that was construed as hurtful, to another person, who didn't have to log into said message board but did so through choice.
Because of this, a threat of legal action was considered the best option.

Not Vindictive at all then.

Except it very much WAS vindictive, spiteful and unpleasant wasn't it. Let us not forget the episode where one of you joined NSP on some kind of peace mission before proceeding to troll.

If people on here are soo spiteful and vindictive then why are you on here? You and your gang are like a group of school kids. It was never even an issue. LG just made it 1

And all this fall out because a bunch of people tried to help someone out who was on the edge.

There are some strange people in the world, that is for sure.

It's a football forum. It gets quite blokey. It's not always nice.

Out of interest, what are Aussie Rules forums like? Ever asked them for personal advice? ;-)
