Bruno has played against the worlds best.............sell him (Wilf) before he gets an injury(versus Albion-just kidding) and is worthless & it's possible some people know people who are in the know, you know..

I know somebody currently very closely connected with Brighton who played football in the same team as an ex Brighton player of 10 odd years ago who i was best mates with at school-we shall leave it at that.

Wow you must be a legend in your own mind!!!

I'll be surprised if Zaha is sold in January if we are still near the playoffs, at the end of the season is a different matter.
If he continues this season like he has started it, his value will increase.

And you know this because?

Obviously the owners will not want to agree with what's discussed here, but like you say, the proof is in what you spent - which was how much exactly? I thought you brought in freebies, while selling a few players.

What would the fans do, stop coming to games? They've already done that.

Oh please

Oh give me strength, not you again! Funny, hadn't heard a peep out of you since we went above you and Zaha has been on fire but now this thread has come about you're all over it with your silly pendantic quoting!

Seriously, why would one of our owners, an astute buisnessman, discuss our clubs finances with any old Tom, Dick and Harry? If it was a friend of his then he would make sure its a friend that he could trust with such information. But I'm meant to believe though that this person then goes and spills the info to a business associate that just happens to be a NSC regular. Yeah, ok.

The OP, as I have already pointed out, has previous history of this type of thing and his previous comments have been laughed off. And isn't it convieniant that he started this thread on the same day he started another thread about being bored due to no football today. Something tells me he has to much time on his hands today...

CPFC2010 are very successful business people. Seriously, use logic, if they truly intended to sell Wilf, they wouldn't be saying the opposite in the Press/to the fans, they would simply decline to comment on speculation. But they've done the opposite and said that if we are near the top 6 in Jan, no one will be sold.

In regards to transfers, we paid fees this window for Ward, Blake, Bolasie and a loan fee for Goodwillie, so no, not all free signings. Other new players brought in on free's like Delaney and Gabbidon will be commanding a decent wage also.

Your dig about attendances: Last week we got 20,000 which suggests the problem is punters finances rather than a lack of support.

And I stand by my comments about Zaha. You have some very good players but nobody that comes close to him other than maybe Vicente but he doesn't in his heart want to play for you by the look of it and spends 80% of the time on the treatment table.

Giraffe, you are (once again) chatting shit. CPFC2010 told you last time that what you are saying is completely untrue and I'm not sure why you're wasting your time again.

This is no dig at palace but what I dont understand is that with palace insolvent so recently how they can own an asset worth £11 Million. If I was a creditor then I would look at bringing legal action against the administrator. As for Zaha, well if he is worth £11 Million then he shouldn't be playing for a club that struggle to get 13000 people to pay to get into games. Maybe we might buy him if we go up.

Only telling you what I heard, that's all. Don't shoot the messenger. The proof will come in January. Wouldn't necessarily mean he left in January anyway if for example Arsenal agreed to buy him but loan him back for the rest of the season.

The great Zaha talk up - to save Palace's season

If he is not going in January then why is freedman basically putting out statements telling people what would be the minimum amount it would take to sign him? Surely he would just say 'he is our player and we plan to have him here all season to help with our promotion push'?

It does look on the outside like talking a players value up prior to a sale and with Zaha clearly in incredible form it is a good time to cash in. Personally I think anything around £11 million would represent fantastic value for palace if they manage to achieve that

How much of that makes it back into the playing budget will just be something we have to wait and see

Of course. Brighton jumps from 6-8 thousand at withdean in league 1 to 20+ thousand at the Amex in the championship and it's plastic fans, liverpool and arsenal fans buying tickets. You jump from almost 13k to 20k on the back of a run of form and it's punters finances that have been responsible for your previous low attendances, it's not plastic starting to come back now there's some goals and some wins.

Disagree-Palace can get 20,000 all day long, problem for them is now we have a stadium so can we-this shocks them.

I thought it was two for one and they gave away 4000 tickets on top of the 2 for 1 offer. As such, of the 20,000, probably just over half that had paid to get in. That doesnt help pay Zaha's wages. Bottom line is that clubs like Burnley, Palace and Peterboro with crowds of 8000 to 13000 have to sell to balance the books or else have a sugar daddy or else become insolvent. Palace took the going insolvent path twice.

They can't keep giving away 4,000 free tickets to local kids , kids for a quid with an adult plus selling tickets on Groupon which only bring in a fiver a seat.

Clubs like Palace? Only 4-5 years ago we were getting 17-18,000 each week. Thats easily achievable again, deals like the Burnley game will help attract new fans long term and the recent upturn in our results and the attacking performances (whereas recent years it's been negative and boring) will bring the crowds back.

CPFC2010 never said the deal was done so not sure what you mean?? It was various 'in the know' sources that got it wrong which just goes to show that unless it comes from an official source, a lot of internet posts are gossip or outright lies rather than fact.
