Is'nt Lua Lua naturally left footed, with pace?
Unfortunately, we can't afford to get another striker (which we need) and keep all of our wingers. As you say, Noone is the most consistently fit, but he's the only one we can currently sell for decent money. We still have Kaz, Will and Vicente. Yes it would be good to have Noone too, but if we can sell one of our wingers and bring in a striker, that will be worthwhile.

good luck to him. A very exciting dribbler who consistently beats the full back. If he could finish the chances he creates he'd be playing in the top flight already. lets hope the money is already spent on a new striker!
Last season and even early on this year I would have said yes to £1.5m, but he's been improving greatly with the regular starts and was brilliant on Saturday, setting up at least two goals. So the 'no end up product' argument isn't necessarily valid for me anymore.
Would have to be at least £2m and Gus to have a replacement lined up immediately for it to be a good deal for me.
And that's not taking into account what a class act he is off the pitch

He's right footed.
If we were to sell Noone then I wouldn't think we'd have enough time to bring in a replacement now.
A striker would be handy (I'm still not 100% sold on needing one), but I think a consistently fit winger is a much bigger need. There's no point having a striker if we can't get the ball up there, and without a winger think we may find it tricky at times.

It doesn't matter how you dress it up, losing noone will make a massive difference to the strength of our squad, i think he is brilliant and against cardiff and barnsley he was excellent.

The point is,if noone goes tomorow we have very little time for anything.Do you think that gus knew noone was going so has had a player ready to sign straight away then?

Unfortunately football is at the end of the day just a business. No matter how much the fans love a player, if he is worth selling on for a big profit even to rivals or not it will happen. Nooneeee got me up out of my seat everytime he had the ball at his feet. I will be gutted if he goes but 'In Gus We Trust' I suppose?

Do you think Gus isn't looking to strengthen the squad then, or has somehow not seen this coming. Wingers, with everyone fit (caveat) is an area we are not weak.
And despite being right footed, Kaz does a pretty good impression of someone who can kick the ball with his left, as he did on Saturday.

Can't see any other way to find the striker we need. Certainly not going to get more than a bag of balls and a few track suits for the players Gus doesn't want. Be sad to see Nooney go. He's been a great addition to the club, as much for his personality as well as his ability. Good luck Nooney (accept against us).
