No chance of my ticket being sold on the exchange then. I reckon that might be the case for all but the biggest of games.
It was worth a shot but I will use the exchange on here from now on.

You absolutely should sell on here. Get it done in advance and you've got certainty. Not sure what they mean by all seats need selling ... does that mean if only 1 left they won't activate exchange?

That's the way I understand it and it's fair enough as they make the full sale price on the unsold stock.

Agreed, it includes travel, but to me and most people I know that's of absolutely no benefit whatsoever. As I said I got on the train almost every game last season and not once was I asked for a travel ticket of any sort, and what about those who drive?
.

It is those who failed to pay for train tickets last season who are 100% responsible for the compulsory travel voucher.

As for those who drive, they still have to park&ride, and use the bus.

Perhaps if people hadn't been so selfish last season and bought and paid for their transport, there wouldn't be a surcharge, just a thought.

It cost the club over £1m last year (source Martin Perry).

Of course, that is before we appointed Barber, so of course, it's all his fault.

Then again, if you want to pay more than £4 for your return bus or train fares, or your parking, then go ahead, have a good old complain, we're quite good at protesting, let's do that and get them to remove the £4 from ticket prices, then we can all pay MORE to get to the Amex. But at least the ticket price will be £24.

Don't agree. Those who failed to pay are partly responsible - those that designed a system which incorporated NO ticket checks are also at fault and cannot be absolved of responsibility. Is this why Ken Brown got the bullet I wonder?

Don't forget also that for the Barnsley match on the Sunday it was impossible to buy vouchers on the day as well because the club shop was shut..

Sold Out - Why has the other block not gone on sale?

Too late I guess.... probably look better anyway with that block totally empty than a few odd fans dotted around. Wonder if they are planning to cover the seats?

What block is this? If it's the one next to the away fans won't it just look like they didn't sell their allocation?

In which case the ticket exchange should have activated.

"officially" sold out is technically different to having seats left but cannot be arsed to sell :lolol:

Only partially agree.

I bought and paid for travel vouchers last year - one set per ST - however at some of the Park and Ride sites (eg the Racehill) these were never requested - and some fans didn't even know that they were supposed to have them.

Away fans just turned up at the Park and Ride without travel vouchers and were let on. Same at the train stations.

Basically, the club should have included the Travel Voucher cost in with either the ST or the matchday ticket LAST YEAR.

It's all very well saying that it cost the club £1m last season, but (and yes it's easy with hindsight) it was an avoidable loss.

At the current rate the seats were dissapearing, they could have shifted a couple of hundred more tickets.

Instead, there will now be dissapointed fans and empty seats behind the goal. I have been defending the club an awful lot of late, but this is just insane.

Can anyone who Twitter's ask them why they are doing this?

Re: Barnsley, Could have bought a train ticket, I did for the half dozen times I used it.

As for Ken Brown, you could have a point, could have been part of his downfall.

At least we know the Ticket Exchange does come into operation at this juncture. The question is , have many registered to sell ?
