If this is the case we'll struggle next season as it seems the attacking side of our game is forgotten yet again.

Aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!! :wrong:Be patient FFS!!!! It's 4th July. We DO need more defensive strength and just because gus has done this first it foesnt mean he isn't going to strengthen the attack!! :longsummer:

Last season showed in many games that we lacked attacking intent and passed around the back for 60 mins a match and hardly ever won away, now if we sign these two defenders that's 3 defenders and 1 goalkeeper and gus wanted 5 players roughly. Its clear we are weak up top and very very week in the middle, will we improve on the 2nd lowest shots at goal last season mmmmmm.

Bloody hell, we've moved in to September already! Don't you think we are working around the clock to find a suitable striker for CMS and Barnesy? Do you honestly think we will stop our Transfer Activity if we sign Bridge and Shorey?! Get a grip man, it is only JULY!!!!!!!!

Get a grip?i know what time of the year it bloody is,im more concerned that gus will play with 7 defensive players again next season that's all,im hoping he goes 4-4-2 next season and focuses on scoring goals for once.

I will bet on almost any other formation, perhaps the odd diamond 442 for parts of some matches.

If you really want 2 up front 3 5 2 could be fun though.

Are you on a permanent wind-up? Are you genuinely moaning because he's signed players in the wrong f***ing order? It's not like our shopping is done for the summer, there's a direct quote from Poyet in today's Argus that he wants a midfielder and a striker too. Jesus wept.

Yes because that has worked for English football for so long! Asking to play 4-4-2 is like wanting VHS and lead petrol back. I think its been well shown that this formation is too rigid and doesn't allow players to get in the space on the wings or just in front of the back 2.
