Eh? JCL god that gets thrown about a bit easily doesn't it? I grew up supporting the albion from a very young age thankyou mate. First saw them with my dad, alsoi a lifelong supporter, in 1984 standing an a stool to see over the crowd. What is this? Anyone expresses an opinion you dont agree with must be a jcl, that is ridiculous, why the f*** would someone whos a season ticket holder anyway bother to post on a club forum if as you say they only just recently and quite casually taken an interest in the club at all?

Wow, sensitive, much? I wasn't calling anyone in particular a jcl, and even if I was I didn't mean it with any negative intent (I specifically said as much). The people I go with barely attended an albion game before this season, they would b JCLs too.

My point is Lualua has a long history of trouble with his hamstrings, and has historically been rested frequently. It's better to play him every other game then to play him in two consecutive games and have him unavailable for the next 5. This was highlighted when he returned to us and has not been updated as no longer being an issue since. Given the way he is frequently dropped despite good performances, I'd say it isn't unreasonable to assume it is still an issue.

People who aren't aware of this have either forgotten about it, or, like the friends that go with me, weren't paying much attention to Albion news back then. One of those friends comes to this board occasionally, and I'm pretty sure quite a few other new fans have also signed up to the board. These new fans at the game will mingle with old fans some of whom will mention NSC, and that will lead to them seeking out the board, perhaps just to immerse themselves in the albion, or to keep up with what fans are talking about so they aren't out of their depths when they meet up with other albion fans or whatever.

I agree that away from home things need to change because we are just not scoring goals but at home we are fine.
I may be wrong but I think the middlesboro game was the first home league game this year that we failed to score at least 2 goals.

I had assumed Gus was resting LuaLua against Burnley for Reading and West Ham this week, but clueless at to why he left him on the bench, would have much rather seen him on than Nooney-more of an impact player.

Many won't agree with this, but as CMS isn't having the best season how about playing Barnes up top with Vicente, Lualua and Buckley behind him similar to above? Might not have the same pace and work rate but knows where the goal is as his scoring record shows. Worth a go?

totally agree was amazed we started without wingers against burnely - thought we would have been ahead in first half if KLL, Buckley or Noone had started. Thought Noone had no impact when he came on ( would have sold him to cardiff for the reported 1.2million IMO). KLL should have played - but what do i know i got brighton relegated in Champ manager!!!

I just cannot believe how much talent we have in this squad atm. Whatever side I pick myself, I end up suddenly realising the talent that I've left out.

KLL and Buckley, wide, Yeah, love em.
Vicente in the hole, absolutely. The guy oozes class like I've never seen before in the stripes.
CMS up front with Vokes alongside him. Tried at Burnley, but without wingers which is out main threat.
Bridders is magnificent, and Navarro has really impressed me alongside him.

Hmm, I've already picked too many, without playing 3 at the back, and that's even before I realise I want to try and incorporate Barnes, Noone, Gai, Razak, Dicker, and what about the youngsters like JFC and Agdestein, who I was getting excited about just a couple of months ago.

It's not much difference in defence where we have a young centre-half who has had top Premiership clubs looking at, media talking £5m bids, and he's sat in the stands watching with the rest of us. We have NEVER had it so good, even the Div 1 teams, never had this depth of talent.

id like to see 2 out and out wingers start but dont think it works for us, we need barnes playing from the left, he keeps our shape and can change the formation better than anyone in the team when needed. This is why Gus likes playing ashley.

Going by that he should start today

I read on another thread that if we start LuaLua and Buckley, we'll lose 3-0.

I'm just trying to think... they both started at Liverpool but I don't think you can really put the scoreline down to that... one home game I can remember them both starting is the Southampton game which I think we actually won 3-0, there are probably others, I'm trying to remember other games they both started.

I'd love to see those two wide with Vicente feeding them at some point, would be fantastic.
