Got no reason not to believe him on this...especially as i'll find out sooner or later what happened. He just said that the OB asked for ID and this didn't match the season ticket name. It was after the match.

Trouble is, he does like a beer after the game and he's a bloody liability when pissed so christ knows what happened. He's not a trouble maker but will go if provoked.

Ill give the club a bell tomorrow.

Is the a Season ticket for Brighton or West ham?

As I said they were checking all tickets before the game in The Railway Bell before allowing anybody to leave to get the train.

But this was after the game, in 'a' pub. Why would a copper be asking to see a season ticket in a pub after a game? How would a copper even know he had been to the game?

Officially they're non transferable right? Un-officially the club said they would turn a blind eye, as im sure plenty of people doing it!
Seems odd the police were asking for it anyway.... are you sure he wasn't being a naughty boy?

Best bet is just to call the club.

How does that work?

I phoned last week to upgrade my son's ticket to an adult for the Cardiff game, as we do not (the wife really) allow him to go to evening games when there's school. I paid the upgrade. Therefore the club know that for that evening my son's ticket was being used by someone else other than on the ticket. So it must be transferable, officially.

He was a c unt in 2005 and have no reason to believe he wasn't still a c unt in 2010. Leopards dont change their spots.

If his utter bullshit story is true...I will cheer from the rafters.

The police were doing the same type of checking at the Railway Bell before the game and Ben had a problem getting out of the pub as they wouldn't let him and my eldest, his uncle, leave until they had shown their identity. The problem was that all though Ben is anti alcohol and just went to meet his uncle he is under 18. They overlooked the fact of his age as they both re=assured the police that he doesn't drink and after showing identity and season ticket allowed both to leave.

We were kept in the Bell while OB got all of Pompey's mob from the Queen's Head onto the train.

Sorry to be blunt but more fool you. The official line is YOU are responsible for that ticket and anyone that uses it. The club will hold you responsible and no one else. You have said yourself he is a liability so why lend it it him, buggered if I would risk it.

Well if the Bell after the game was anything to go by it was a den of 'thieves', I am not usually sensitive to these things, but we moved on sharpish, it was brewing up for sure, anybody know if there was any trouble,

You talk as if Albion are your club yet I'm more confused as to why you even have a season ticket and why you spend so much time on here?

Because he is a pwoper nawty West ham supporter....never missed a game from his armchair when they cheated their stay in the Premiership with Tevez.

Surely OB can't do that?

I'm only guessing here as I can't think of any law that has been broken by having your ST in his pocket, so I would've thought it was purely a matter between the ticket holder and the club.

Find out if they're supposed to do that, if they're not report it to the IPCC, the copper should really by charged with theft.

*edit* they at least should've explained it to your brother - sounds like bullshit to me

Why? It's not a crime to be holding a friends card, and the police don't have the power to take it from you unless it's been reported stolen. I had 3 season tickets on me on Saturday, and none were mine.

Sharpish? I was there 'til 9 and it was peaceful. Was there agro later?
