Is there a keeper in the league that doesn't make mistakes, I believe Casper has had three good games previous to today?

Every time I see a thread criticising Ankergren I think of just how many truly shit keepers we have had and Casper is not one of them imo. We are not Barcelona or Real Madrid, our players are not going to be the best.

GOAL: #Boro lead 1-0. McDonald bundled home from close range after dreadful error from Ankergren, who dropped Bennett's cross.

Middlesbrough journalist.

The North East not exactly a happy hunting ground for #bhafc and Ankergren's fumble has breathed life into the hosts. Still eerily quiet tho

Brian Owen.

Probably is time to get another keeper in January, but the comments are still ridiculously over the top. He is superb at shot stopping and with his feet, but his inability to deal with crosses is letting him down.

I didn't go to Derby but he had about one basic save to make in each of the Coventry and Forest games. Not quite sure why people are now saying that's some kind of virtuoso performance.

Fact isGus had good reason for bringing in Harper, for whatever reason he went back, but the reason still exists and will in January.

Yeah he's a good shot stopper although he flaps way to much just like the palace game,FDM was a great shot stopper, but you need more than a great shot stopper in the championship.

He blows hot and cold:annoyed:

I don't think his performance v forest was particularly confidence boosting. That clean sheet was the defence's not his. I don't recall any particularly difficult saves (one straight at him without venom, one coming down on the crossbar that he tipped over are all I remember, yet I remember three attempts to come for crosses where he got nothing on it, one under no pressure should have been a corner, but the ref gave a goal kick, the other two were more dangerous), but I remember a lot of pressure and blocks from the defence at key moments.

The argument 'we're not real madrid or barcelona, of course he's going to make mistakes' only ever seems to be used with goal keepers. All the arguments on here, it never gets mentioned with Painter, Paynter, Barnes, Sparrow, Calderon, Navarro, Harley, etc.

I presume in the interest of fairness, the o/p is suggesting all the other Albion players who've made mistakes this season also retire.

Team v Burnley:

Mistakes from every player cost us goals. Bridcutt has cost us a goal. Dunk has cost us more than one goal. Greer cost us a goal at some point. I could go on.
