You tell me then how this woman flew into our country with a pregnant stomach the size of a hot air balloon ??

perhaps it was a hot air balloon in disguise. that would explain why she wasnt picked up by the airlines.

they will try anything now.

I'm sorry - I haven't read all 3 pages of this thread. I thought it was about an article from the Sun about one woman. Have we established that all Nigerians come here and sponge then?
No,not all of them, some come to make benefit claims under multiple aliases, the others come to be parking wardens.

See above re personal abuse. I don't think I've resorted at any point to slagging people off. If you can't cope with debate without getting angry and being rude to people, then perhaps you shouldn't post on threads like this. That's not censorship, you're entitled to post if you want to, but as Viney pointed out if you don't like someone disagreeing with you then don't post.

To be honest, I'm tired of being accused (by you in particular) of various things just because I offer a different opinion from yours. I wish you the very best with your health issues and hope you get well soon. I think I'll now flounce off and not post on threads like this myself! Cheers. :annoyed: :flounce:

I have no interest in providing an opinion myself as any thread titled "my taxes pay for this" inevitably descends into this and there is no place for debate either for or against, only it would seem petulant name-calling (and when any hint of an actually point to be made has been exhausted, arguments about each other's spelling and/or grammar). For what it's worth Wayneflete, unfortunately if you have a different opinion to the right-wingers on NSC they very quickly tend to resort to furious insults and hysterical nationalist diatribe, as they seem unable to separate reasoned and intelligent discussion from a different viewpoint for particularly supporting the wrong they wish to right. Hence "if you can't cope with debate then don't post in this sort of thread" becomes "I am censoring you and instruct you not to post on any thread on NSC, ever". Similarly the (locked) thread about Craig Thomson the other day descended from a discussion about whether or not he should be fired to some people making some pretty shocking allegations that boiled down to "anyone thinking he shouldn't be locked up and/or executed is a paedo themselves".

Link to Daily Mail article ----> Self-righteous hysteria ----> Alternative view provided ----> Tirade of unnecessary abuse ----> Opinion presented as fact ----> Insult exchange ----> Argument over grammar ----> Locked thread. 17 pages.

Que sera sera.

London now.
I am continually facinated by the fact that those on this board who hold a particular political view have such a difficulty in using the English language correctly. Yes I am talking about you. Of course you do not even realise this....

You'd better go AND read das kapital do you mean ? If you're going to denigrate other's use of the english language, it'd be an idea to make sure your own is up to scratch, no ?

Do you mean Das Kapital?

Well it wasn't the Daily Mail and it is not 17 pages! Oh and you forgot the threats of violence.

Interestingly though i suspect that this is one of the only places some people would hear an alternate view as face to face they would have gone a strange reddy purple colour, started shouting louder and louder and possibly punched someone for daring to suggest a view out side their blinkered existence.

No, in this post I was commenting on his use of syntax, not spelling and grammar.

Wow, you sure wriggled out of that embarrassing mistake.

Thank God for that!!.... and I thought you (correctly) corrected my spelling... I will now study hard to rectify my syntactic ambiguity.

Chomsky has a good book on Syntactical Structures, as well as a load of interesting lefty stuff.
