I appreciate they tried to give the game every chance. But from 4.30 today there was ZERO PERCENT chance the game could go ahead. The roads were unsafe and only going to get worse, the pitch had some on it and was going to freeze. Bad late decision, especially for the away fans and fans that have to travel.

Not surprised, just picked my mum and dad up and brought mum back home to babysit the kids while we all stupidly went to the footy. The car outside temp gauge read between -4 to -5.5c between Portslade & Hangleton. Would only have got colder and frostier. Oh well, an impromptu cards night instead. Bugger!

Referee has called it off as the penalty area nearest the away end is aleady frosted over and the rest of the pitch will no doubt end up like it before the game can be finished.

Feel sorry for the long distance travelers and Notts fans. Hopefully the under soil heating at the Amex will stop situations like this happening next year.

Leaving aside that us fans/customers dont want a winter break, it shows why a winter break with the UK climate would not work. We cant tell (unlike in other countries where they have a fair idea) when it will snow. November maybe, December maybe, January maybe, February maybe, and even March maybe. As such, those wrongly asking for a break would pick a week/month to take off and then it could/would snow the week after the week off and not during the break!
