The f in "Yours Faithfully" should have been lower case. Sloppy of Amanda at the Football League not to have pointed this out. In my opinion like.
Bloody Nora, was it really worth writing to them about it? There's no proper video evidence and it's a completely subjective issue. It really is time to forget about it.
Andy Naylor writes in the Argus this morning that he has seen the clubs own exclusive video of the match and that the referee had his back to the free kick as he blew the first whistle, Naylor claims that the referee saw the incident and immediately blew a second time before the free kick was taken. Naylor also notes that the referee does not have a match this weekend and suggests that a secret suspension may have taken place.
Amanda.
How does a referee look at the point when the ball is struck and clearly see what occurred in a completely separate offence miles away from the ball?
You lot need to get out more!!
Isn't the first and certainly won't be the last controversial decision given against us. Are you going to write and complain about everyone?
I see your point but I dont think the letter in this instance was a complaint.
His decision is clearly contrary to the laws of the game
The referee has clearly brought the integrity of the game into some degree of disrepute
Looking at the replay of the goal the ref didnt have a clue when the kick was taken, he was looking in the other direction at the incident.
It was pure guess work by the ref.
You don't think the loud thud a few yards behind him and subsequent ball whistling over his head might have given him an inkling?
How does a linesman look at the ball being played and the defensive line simultaneously?
It's a hard job being an official, making a big deal out of something like this is a bit desperate.
I'd prefer a letter like this.
Dear Mr Greer
What's the best outcome you thought would result in you hitting someone in the penalty are?
Makes a change to get quite a decent response from the FL though.
I really wish TV companies tried adding an ex-ref to their panel to put the likes of Claridge, Redknapp and Gray straight when they are talking absolute tosh.

Or better still, get some pundits in that know the fecking laws.
... is the right question.
Why is there so little questioning of Greer's lack of brain cells?
His action was the instigator of everything that subsequently happened, including arguably the ultimate loss of 2 points, yet we choose to blame the officials?
I think some of you are looking for the wrong scapegoat.![]()
