absolutely, cut back on some of the waste in the NHS, and there is waste, and pay people a decent wage to do the job, no one begrudgess public servants who do a real job a decent living, its just the wasters who go into some of these jobs to hide and coast through life.

from the 1880s up until the 1950s , whitechapel was an extremely jewish area , i didnt say golders green was poor did i ? i used to live just up the road from there , i was just using it as a comparable place to cheetham hill in manchester.
A basic level community nurse is on £20-£26k with up to 20% extra if in inner London.
How do you finance the extra pay for them? How much extra do you propose to pay them in order to attract the numbers required?

Who makes the decisions about waste though? Do you set up a committee to do it, do you use outside consultants (which drain money into the private sector) who may be just as useless as the NHS staff making the decisions?

just use someone with a modicum of common sense at local levels, people who would put a stop to the annual march rush to use up budgets as in the case of my sister in laws department who replaced 150 ,two year old computer monitors with flat screen ones in march because the new ones were " more in keeping with a modern health service" , scandalous!

Lets say if I went to live in Denmark. I wouldn't be running up the St Georges Flag on my flag pole. I would learn to speak Danish and support the Danish national team etc etc.
I agree entirely, just a shame we cannot attract people from this country to train because they see it as too much like hard work.

A word, no its not, call me what the f*** you want, but somebody who has been here two years , still doesnt speak good english, and follows his own native customs isnt as british as you and me , and its not their country as much as mine or yours, the trouble is there are whole communities/ghettoes that have been here for fifty years and they are still speaking their own language and following their own customs, and if antything they are retreating furher into themselves.
