An army of CYCLISTS have invaded the pub that I walk my dog to have breakfast in on occasion on a Sunday.

If we could banish all them to the restaurant area and keep dogs in the lounge area, I'd be very happy.
WTF is it with sweaty lycra clad cyclists/runners who think we want to share a space with them? Speaking of which, I've got to collect a sweaty lycra clad you know who from Machynlleth this afternoon. Wind the windows down love, it's going to get savoury in here......

Leeds - but not the dirty bit
I take my dog to the local for a quick pint or two with fellow dog owners. I would never take him to a nice meal with the Mrs in a restaurant. I would take him for breakfast with us in Perch in Lancing, which is clearly marketed as dog friendly.

It really is that simple.
Absolute nightmare. Dogs running around sniffing each others ar**s, peoples legs and whatever else, barking at each other and stinking the place out. Not my idea of a place for a nice drink or a bar meal.

I think if a pub/cafe/restaurant is going to allow dogs then it should be clearly signposted so potential customers are aware.

The allergic to dogs thing is interesting because a lot of dog owners simply wouldn't even consider this as a possibility or be aware of the potential impact on someone else. As someone who has a properly deathly allergy to peanuts, I've become quite accustomed to people going out of their way to be dickheads about it.

Since COVID especially, the world has definitely become a more selfish place.

Sounds like West Street on a Friday or Saturday night

Last time I was in the Preston Brewery Tap, prob last game at Withdean, or near enough, gained a few lifetime memories. None of then good. One was of @Thunder Bolt's other half playing pool and his ball falling on the floor and falling down a hole into about a century's worth of ratshit. Other enduring memory of that time at that pub? Red-faced wino woman with her controlled-breed dog sat on top of the pool table and she's feeding the dog red wine out of her glass. Come friendly bombs and fall on the Preston Brewery Tap...

You'll be pleased to know that its latest iteration was as a dog-friendly pub called The Woof, or some such bellendery, and closed after about 6 months.

Voted yes, but it’s purely dependent on personal experience. I have a very well behaved Cavalier Spaniel, and we generally go to pubs for food, (where, again from personal experience, it’s more acceptable to bring dogs), but I fully understand why people would vote no.
