Nor do Brighton.

Officially not. However DHs seen to be shipped out if they do happen to accidentally get signed

Who in our current squad would you call a Dick Head? Pedro? On his way apparently. Who else,?

Trossard, Locadia, Cucurella, Andone, Connolly, and possibly Maupay all dicks and all booted

You can’t bracket Maupay in the same DH bracket as others. Top Shithousery is not the same as DHeadery. He was shipped out unfortunately because ultimately his end product wasn’t consistent enough. Trossard, Cucurella wanted out so effectively downed tools, Connolly probably too much too soon and Locardia had an offer he couldn’t refuse from the Top Rank Suite.

Thanks for the clarification re: Shithousery and DHeadery. Good to be able to distinguish between these frequently conflated qualities. 👍

Oh I'd agree on Maupay to a degree, I'm one of his biggest fans and his shithousery. But there's still the French Factor which does create the 'knob effect ' and can rub people up the wrong way. Hence my caveat on my original post.

“Named” a bit strong - hardly a press release from the Argentina FA is it?

Read my post again - I said MAYBE - so no need for the attitude - “maybe” in the same way everyone else is posting maybes as to why the Club has released an image of him with Messi.

If you read the link - Scaloni is selecting his lineup this weekend - Brighton would be informed of that but would obviously not release the news.

I would say, the fact he has been called up for the squad is enough to post an image of him and Messi anyway but with several LBs out of contention, the likelihood of him being on the bench on Tuesday is quite high.

(And just to add - If we are currently in OTB negotiations with Strasbourg over add ons/sell on clauses, then Barco named in a squad for a WC qualifier on Tuesday adds value and gravitas to those negotiations anyway)

What have several RBs out of contention got to do with Barco potentially being on the bench?

It was obviously a typo. Thank you for pointing it out - Corrected now.

“With Marcos Acuña missing from the squad sheet, options for the left-back position are rather thin. Valentín Barco, currently on loan at Strasbourg from Racing, and Facundo Medina from Lens emerge as the leading contenders. Medina is the lone natural left-back among them, while Barco impressed when he made his senior debut last year, stepping off the bench in a friendly against El Salvador.”

My word, you are precious. Maybe you should of said all that the first time round instead of writing what looked like a smart arse reply to someone.
