Well you need to pay more attention as i’ve no idea why you or Jenny thought I was a Sundodger, i was a Dabber on 42’s mainly 😉 Yes i went on Repulsive for an exercise at the end of my career whilst working for MWDC at Dolphin but that was about it 👍
My apologies. Thank you for the Jenny, rather than the previously posted nasty description.

Imho every anti European vote was squeezed out, whilst a large swathe of the UK apathetically/nonchalantly just assumed a Remain win and didn't bother. Polls since show a Remain landslide.
I've heard a few stating that they expecting a Remain win (the polls were saying as much) so didn't turn out. That said, I'm with @nevergoagain: at 72% turnout was really high compared to elections, and clearly many disaffected were mobilised by Reform.
Yet it was a punctual vote expressing the mood of the moment. That's a problem with referenda. We're going to have to live with it for too long. Hopefully it serves as a reminder for all sorts of things, though I won't be holding my breath on that front.

You couldn't really make it up could you?

"Reform can't be racist because the Chair is an Asian Muslim" say Reform supporters, only to see him leave the party because their new MP says something racist. Classic.

Anyway, that meme shared by @Peacehaven Wild Kids and @Peteinblack just reminded me of this. Sleaford Mods get it.

Also, lots of exuberant posts yesterday on twitter with people absolutely over the moon at the Muslim Chairman resigning. I asked AI to generate an image of the typical reform voter's reaction to finding out the news and this is what it spat out.

So it turns out many of those new Reform councils are ungovernable as they need a coalition and - I can’t believe I’m typing this* - didn’t have any local policies. Basically their campaign was simply yelling “stop the boats”.

In Warwickshire. And Cornwall.

*can totally believe it.

Credit were credits due though, they got to grips with the huge issues of removing Ukraine and rainbow flags and turfing out DEI officers, were, um, they didn’t exist.
Zippo would be proud.

Holding a megaphone and yelling easy solutions to complex situations was always going to be very different from governing.

I'm staggered that this is the case, after all Brexit was super easy and done in a jiffy.

Absolutely, along with populating your ‘party’ with politically inexperienced, divisive oddballs, that now express surprise that most other councillors avoid them like a sh1tty stick. Still, the flags though, right. 🙄

It’s a total failure of the UK media establishment to not hold Farage accountable for Brexit.

Net zero is the new grift

Tax renewables to try and boost fossil fuel consumption.

Reform fail to mention this is fast growing part of the UK economy

This is just staggering. People will lap it up. It could not be more obvious who funds reform. Imagine taxing something designed to save the planet and eventually mean we don’t need to import so much fuel. Goodness me.

I have an idea that would see a boost to the economy by far more than this but they are still pretending Brexit is a good idea.
