I have this underlying faith that the mocking, ironic/sarcastic, fair minded 72% of Brits will never allow a repeat in the UK of the US election abominations of 2016 and 2024. Cable Street, but through the power of the internet and tactical voting.

Deform will gain some seats through lying with a series of uncosted election promises, hopefully the IFS will drive a coach and horses through their manifesto in any election campaign.
It has already crossed my mind that I may have to vote Tory, tactically, next time. I hope I die instead to save me the torment.

Well you would have hoped that would have stopped Farage's last campaign to decimate the country and line his pockets, but it didn't. I've learnt to never underestimate the stupidity of the British electorate

Maybe the electorate aren’t so dumb.
LibDems two gains from Conservatives yesterday
Hamilton was won by Labour, beating the SNP and Reform.

Indeed.

The Tories and SNP are still clearly in decline. There is low voter turnout. The Tories rarely had the numbers in Scotland and it's surely mostly those that voted for them previously being wooed by Farridge.

I for one welcome the debate on the burka.

For that to be a priority to Reform it must mean that major issues such as health, defence, education, social care, transport, finance, policing and environment must have been resolved so we can concentrate now on the more trivial ones shirley?

Wanting or believing that Farage would be pm is still dumb.
Well i totally agree so im failing to see what point you’re hoping to make?

Anyway allow me to give you a little piece of advice, i’m sure you find me extremely irritating which of course i have no problem with, I can’t please all of the people all of the time, however the very worst thing you can do is poke me with your incessant snide, all it does it make me bite back, pop me on ignore and don’t waste your time following losers like me round this place 👍

You’re now dismissed Sailor to carry on to your duties 😉

The ‘dumb’ comment wasn’t actually aimed at you, however I like a challenge. At the gym doing some fizz and then the ‘Jimmy’ has got me doing the heads and the mess decks before her rounds this afternoon. One of the disadvantages of not working Fridays.

Great stuff. We have a WAFU, a split and a boat person, just need a fish head to round it off.
Well you need to pay more attention as i’ve no idea why you or Jenny thought I was a Sundodger, i was a Dabber on 42’s mainly 😉 Yes i went on Repulsive for an exercise at the end of my career whilst working for MWDC at Dolphin but that was about it 👍

Imho every anti European vote was squeezed out, whilst a large swathe of the UK apathetically/nonchalantly just assumed a Remain win and didn't bother. Polls since show a Remain landslide.

not sure on the didn't bother argument. Turnout was 72% which is more than the last 6 general elections.
