You are a photographer! You don't need to come out of Uni with a Photography degree to be one. Just take photos of things you like, or things you think other people will like and, Hey Presto - you're a photographer!

My God-daughter's pet Gecko. He's a rescue Gecko believe it or not. Only about 2" long. Hard to photograph him amongst all the plants in his tanky thing.

After the Wolves game we continued north via an overnight stay in Derbyshire. The owners of the place we stayed at in Northumberland had a Jack Russell - who insisted on playing fetch with the smallest of twigs as soon as we’d said hello to her. This was a very quick snap.

Insects in flight you say?

This the sort of thing you mean??! It's my normal sort of effort when trying to capture them (actually it's better than normal - normal is not having the bumblebee in shot at all).

The only decent insect-in-flight photo I've ever taken. Hummingbird Bird Hawk Moth on Salvia "Hot lips".

It certainly takes practice and patience and the right equipment, I could share a 1000+ failed attempts.

It's like sports such as golf/cricket. You can have all the top gear and kit, and practice every day - but only once in a while do you hit a shot like the pros!
