Trump says "Brexit was a very smart decision". Not sure what to make of that.
I guess that it's possible that Trump really is very smart and he's actually endorsing your decision.
Of course there is an alternative explanation

Trump says "Brexit was a very smart decision". Not sure what to make of that.
Was there really a 100% tariff?Tariffs on British cars will be reduced from 100% to 10%,
Calling @Dr. NoWas there really a 100% tariff?
Incorrect, the 10% tariff only applies to the first 100,000 cars exported, which is less than we exported in 2024.The deal promises a boon for the UK’s car and alcohol industries, which have suffered from the impact of Donald Trump’s tariffs in the US.
I didn't think so. And the benefit of the "reduction" from 27.5 to 10 is a bit misleading as that 27.5 figure was falsely inflated, only in force for 6 weeks as part of Trump's negotiation. It's like saying "I got a 50% discount on this sofa from SCS".Calling @Dr. No
Looks like a new deal is being signed today which is a positive. Its a start of limiting the ongoing damage.
A huge economic deficit remains and its UK tax payers that will continue to pay for the faux sovereignty that has delivered very little.
I saw that article as well. The penny didn’t seem to be dropping that maybe the EU wasn’t the cause of their problems in the first place.Gammons in the papers today saying “it’s almost as if we never left”
Hmm.
It’s almost as if Brexit was unworkable.
Well, they should be revelling in the fact that the NHS is a shining beacon of a world leading health system with that extra 350 million a week going into it, not to mention the staggering reduction in immigration.Gammons in the papers today saying “it’s almost as if we never left”
Hmm.
It’s almost as if Brexit was unworkable.
And I see Mr Fromage proclaiming the end of the fishing industry yet again."The UK and EU have agreed a historic post-Brexit reset of relations after a “late breakthrough” in overnight talks ahead of a summit in London on Monday, officials on both sides said.
Britain agreed to open its fishing waters for 12 more years to EU boats
In return, UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer secured a veterinary deal that will remove much red tape for British farming and fisheries exports to its biggest market, in a much-sought economic prize of the “reset” talks."

And I see Mr Fromage proclaiming the end of the fishing industry yet again.
According to Captain Clacton, it was destroyed by the CFP before Brexit, destroyed again by the various iterations of the final departure deal and is about to be destroyed for a third time by Labour.
Well exactly. Despite his very bestest, most strenuous efforts over the years to save it, others just come along and destroy it. It’s always The Others.Well the fishing industry will certainly be better off than when he represented the them on the EU fisheries committee as an MEP and couldn't be arsed to actually turn up for 41 of the 42 Fisheries committee meetings he should have been at.
Same old Farage, still lying, still grifting![]()
Even my uni employs five times as manyYour regular reminder that fishing as an industry contributes around £1bn and employs around 7,000 people. That is roughly the same as the UK's tattoo industry.
UCL employs more people as one university than the entire UK fishing industry. It's a tiny industry which has had too much clout over the rest of us for too long.
