Maybe. But at any time they can easily see the attendance (or resale) habits of STHers living in, say, Newcastle....Agree…….I also meant the club probably read it on here………..

I think the only person who confessed to not attending any games in his season ticket seat was someone who couldn't transfer his points to the 2 he bought in 1901 - in addition to the one he already had - so puts it on the exchange every week instead. Some long-distance fans on here have openly confessed to buying a season ticket knowing they won't attend (m)any home games...
Gives the club a chance to create a hologram version of each absent ticket holder and place them in their seat.
I received the invite from the club, as an A+ Member, to take out a season ticket for next season. Some long-distance fans on here have openly confessed to buying a season ticket knowing they won't attend (m)any home games...
Bloody hell! How old IS he?I think the only person who confessed to not attending any games in his season ticket seat was someone who couldn't transfer his points to the 2 he bought in 1901

It’s not a must though. Correct me if wrong, but nowhere includes the word “must”. It says “the club may”.Both clauses apply. The ticket must be used for 75% of games (either in person, shared or listed on the exchange). The ticket holder must attend 25% of the games in person. This is a screen shot from the T&Cs for 25-26 season.

It’s for 25/26, so they might be planning to do something at the end of the season once they have the data for each ST to be able to apply the rules (Clause 18)It’s not a must though. Correct me if wrong, but nowhere includes the word “must”. It says “the club may”.
As I’ve mentioned previously - I have not attended 25% of games this season. The club has never been in touch to ask why. I was able to renew as normal. I also get the automated “thank you for your attendance” after each and every game.
I honestly don’t think the club are actively monitoring this. They might suggest they are, and they might want better use of the exchange, but I don’t see any reason to think they are going hard and fast on this rule any time soon.
So you think that even though I’ve already renewed my ST and they’ve taken my money etc, they will then take it away from me in a months time? despite the club never contacting me about my non attendance? It’s for 25/26, so they might be planning to do something at the end of the season once they have the data for each ST to be able to apply the rules (Clause 18)
No idea, but the T&C in place for 25/26 gives them the right to do so, and they wouldn’t be able to fully invoke it on the current T&C.So you think that even though I’ve already renewed my ST and they’ve taken my money etc, they will then take it away from me in a months time? despite the club never contacting me about my non attendance?
If they can't attend the quota then perhaps they shouldn't have a season ticket!!!That’s fine, but what about the quota of games they’re expected to attend in person?
This is the crux of it really. If you can commit fine, if you can’t then so be it, there’s no shame. If they can't attend the quota then perhaps they shouldn't have a season ticket!!!
Which is why, with the aging fanbase, the club are now advertising season tickets for sale on Facebook. If they can't attend the quota then perhaps they shouldn't have a season ticket!!!
No one knows whether they can fully commit though, surely. This is the crux of it really. If you can commit fine, if you can’t then so be it, there’s no shame.
You don’t need to explain yourself to anyone. No one knows whether they can fully commit though, surely.
I had the intention of going to every game - as I have done in previous seasons. Circumstances in my life mean this is now not possible, at the moment. I had no way to forsee this when I renewed my season ticket last year.
People don’t attend, for all sorts of reasons. For many, it’s nothing to do with commitment. Instead it’s just circumstance.

The club certainly actively monitors my wife's attendance. She missed one Saturday match and received a strongly worded email on the Monday telling her to use the ticket exchange or risk breaching the 25% rule and lose her ticket. She was mighty pissed off by it.It’s not a must though. Correct me if wrong, but nowhere includes the word “must”. It says “the club may”.

So you pop each ticket on the exchange/transfer to a friend etc, see out this season and then you’re done? What am I missing? No one knows whether they can fully commit though, surely.

Whether or not it will be an issue in 25/26 for those who haven’t met the criteria in 24/25So you pop each ticket on the exchange/transfer to a friend etc, see out this season and then you’re done? What am I missing?
