Ffs…what did they say to your Mum?
We’re not really sure :lolol: , but my mum chose to turn her back and ignore him (much more intelligent than me!), and he kept on shouting “why are you ignoring me!”. Once I got between them and intervened he shit himself and started going on about how he respected me or some bollocks. Couldn’t care less really if you are being rude to my mum, and he should have just walked away.

The power cut was an amazing experience, sadly my payment still went through.

Given the couple of fights people saw today do you think the Club will reconsider the early opening time? Early opening and selling Jäegermeister etc isn't exactly discouraging drinking. It’s an offence to be drunk at a football match - how drunk you have to be I don’t know but on the one hand the club want to be family friendly and the next they’re going full on pub experience.

The booze or something else certainly took its toll. Some was filling a NS urinal with vomit at normal FT, people were concerned about him. After the pens loss, an 18 year old lad was karate kicking bins and head-butting metal doors.

There was an 18 year old (well he slurred that he was 18) throwing up in his seat in N1D, about 20 minutes before ko, stewards had to take him out as all his "mates" had disappeared. I'm not even sure he was in his seat.

Seemed to be something happening in the first half in the North, lots of arguing with a steward and a couple of guys not being able to let it go.

you shouldn’t piss off your own fans, that’s where they need a little steer.

It was two young lads fighting in a way that resembles interpretative street dance with a couple of punches thrown.

There were 4 or 5 what looked like 11 year old lads giving it large to the forest fans as they walked past the terrace after the game. Shat themselves when a few geezers turned and faced them😁

Finally.

Based on how busy it was yesterday it was not the place to go if you had mobility issues, yes there should be some sort of priority seating but I imagine all the seats had been taken hours before kickoff anyway.
There were seats scattered around. Unfortunately getting a drink was impossible as queues were too long. I didn’t even venture inside!

As several people mentioned earlier though, it really reduced queues at the inside concourse bars before KO.

(It would have reduced queues at the Station after the match too if :
1) We’d won
2) It wasn’t so damn cold
3) If the Brighton train hadn’t been delayed by nearly 20 mins

I think it is fantastic though and adds to the matchday experience- maybe even contributed to the atmosphere inside the stadium too. Just walking up from the station at 3.45pm and seeing so many Brighton fans gathering for a beer all in one place before the match really put me in the mood.

Look forward to warmer weather and the club making some tweaks to manage footfall into the Terrace.

Very strange. some people did seem a tad ‘over enthusiastic’ yesterday.

I'll just mention that upstairs was rather good, after a little queuing and being let in in batches of 5 or 6.

That threw me as it didn’t seem to be 1 out, 1 in but letting groups in in batches. Made it look like the queue wasn’t moving then suddenly it did.

Positive for me was a good atmosphere in there and is a nice addition to match day pre match.
Food - £12 for a chicken burger is a lot but at least it was very decent. I’d rather pay that than eat that sad state of a burger from the concourse. Food was served quick even at 330.
Drink pre ordering didn’t seem to work once busy. The pick up point was a scrum and drinks were not pre poured. Tbh I’m sure you could have taken the same code up numerous times didn’t seem to be a sensible way to run it. Needs some work.
Concourse was empty at 415 - quick service for next pint pre kick off.

Negative for me is the club need to be careful. It’s been touched on already but N1D but a group who are not regular in the seats were plastered. From almost having a fight with regular people in their seats, lots of abuse directed at our players and manager and fellow fans, and being in such a state 4/5 could hardly stand up by the end. I have no idea if they drunk pre match in the terrace but serving up shots to 18 year old kids whilst promoting a family atmosphere is a mixed message to me. How anyone can enjoy a football match whilst being that drunk is beyond me.

Overall a good investment for Tony and the club. Great it will be showing away games, some teething issues to be expected. My current experience is I’d prob pick up a chicken burger or another meal like the Katsu bowl and head onto the concourse for a pint or 2

Any pictures of the £13 or £16 Master Chef burgers after they’ve been Sodexo’d?
No pic, but I had a £13 burger. I vowed never to have a burger again in the NS after my last 2 had cock hard top buns. Yesterday, I cautiously fingered the top bun on opening and it was soft as.

Great place. Must have banked a furtune!

I guess it depends how you prefer your cock?

I thought it was alright upstairs for the brief 10 minutes I was there. I'm there for the beam-back next Saturday, so at that point will try and work out how the food and drink ordering works.

Also wondered how chilly it would be in winter; it doesn't look like it will be very warm...

Tbh I’m sure you could have taken the same code up numerous times didn’t seem to be a sensible way to run it.

I said the same. Bought my pint, finally got to the front of the scrum and nothing had updated, just had the order number (with no time of order or anything like that) flashed it at the bloke who gave me the drink without taking any note of anything.

Pretty certain I could have claimed the same pint of Harvey's as often as I'd liked - notwithstanding the 25 minute scrum to get to the front.
