Yes that was the main problem. Had a farcical situation when there was a melee of people who ordered on the app crowded in a small area whereas the bar area was relatively empty
Steve Jobs' philosophy was 'Start with the Customer Experience then work back to the technology from there.'

In a way, you have to admire Sodexo's dogged determination to design everything they do the other way around.

Gave up pre-game. Got to the ground later than I wanted and it was absolutely rammed with massive queues everywhere. Bit better after the game and some old skool garage bangers being played. Got a bit more going on than Dicks but predictably has some creases to be ironed out

Food was easy, ready & easy to collect 1-2 mins.

Drinks on the other hand, utter carnage. 1/2 hour Q for 3 drinks. Lagers seemed to have been pre-poured, but cider & IPA was being done on demand making it so slow. I’m sure someone with more knowledge than me can explain why cider & ipa can’t be pre-poured.

Large Q for toilets, apparently 2 cubicles for gents but I departed for WSU at that stage.
I hadnt thought of that and presumably no one at the club had either. Definately need far more toilets nearby outside.

Mine was too cold for salmonella to survive.
1901 builders club was so hot it vapourised.

the shittest service and quality in memory. The East stand at the Goldstone was better. At least thery actually had something to sell.

I gave it a swerve today but brother in law went and he suggested one issue was how cold it was with the breeze rushing through the open plan design. Wooly hats and thermals for the Palace beam back!

Where the band well known? I listened to a couple of their songs outside that they showed on the screen and they seemed a reasonable covers band.

wonder if would be pricey to get a tribute band like illegal eagles or the fleetwood Mac one

East upper was the worst queues ever, concourse absolutely packed. This was about 30 mins to kick off so not sure if that's because Terrace had kicked out

Catering was poor in EU today. I often pop down shortly after the start of the second half when there is no one at the food outlets. I sit on an aisle so the entire operation takes barely 30 seconds. But today there was literally nothing to purchase. Not a single pie or item of hot food. Crestfallen, I ordered a Bovril and that was so tepid I had to go back and ask for a hotter one. And when I asked for my Amex card discount I was told some rubbish about having to scan a QR code and sign up to something. All in all, a deeply unsatisfying experience.

Having only managed to go downstairs, the bar will probably be good unless it's packed, in which case there's no room to do anything but queue. Not massively impressed but early days. Suspect upstairs is the place to be but of course, the club have butchered that with their wanky Amex idea

Saw the fish and chip stall and the coffee stall are now over on Bennett’s Firld next to the temporary club shop. Hardly any queue for either.

Given the couple of fights people saw today do you think the Club will reconsider the early opening time? Early opening and selling Jäegermeister etc isn't exactly discouraging drinking. It’s an offence to be drunk at a football match - how drunk you have to be I don’t know but on the one hand the club want to be family friendly and the next they’re going full on pub experience.

The booze or something else certainly took its toll. Some was filling a NS urinal with vomit at normal FT, people were concerned about him. After the pens loss, an 18 year old lad was karate kicking bins and head-butting metal doors.

I don’t think anyone cares enough do they? I’d just think “knob” and wouldn’t give them a second thought. A few young ‘ins over doing alcohol and getting lairy is to be expected. We’ve all been there.

Some boys are going to get a terrible telling off from their parents tomorrow.

If you can't take a cup defeat without soling and maiming yourself you should take up a different hobby.
I recommend flower arrangement.

There was an 18 year old (well he slurred that he was 18) throwing up in his seat in N1D, about 20 minutes before ko, stewards had to take him out as all his "mates" had disappeared. I'm not even sure he was in his seat.
