Exactly thisWatching the twitter feed of the full build up (about 30-35 seconds before Julio smacked it into the postage stamp), I am convinced that this is the PL Goal of the Season. the build up was pure liquid gold!

Another beauty.
screamer to equalise as Paraguay came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 away in Colombia.

There isn't many others who can do that, great feet to get past players and get off the shot. And when he's on it, he's excellent.I miss him
Is it unfair to call him a bit of a luxury player? He's capable of absolute worldies, generally works hard but his decision-making is so inconsistent. He's the only player in our squad who tries to score goals like that, but I don't think he does enough (yet) to get ahead of Georgi, Pedro, Mitoma, Minteh etcThere isn't many others who can do that, great feet to get past players and get off the shot. Truth is though, for every one of those, there's another 20 running into people and losing ball![]()
Blimey, that was an amazing goal. He received the ball with 4 players around him and then went past another two, followed by a delicious strike into the top corner.Another beauty.

You have to assume this is the case. 10 to 15 years ago the ability to shoot and score was much more highly valued than it is now.I imagine that the scientific metrics are what causes doubts about his inclusion.
He does play the percentages though.Definitely knows how to score a worldly

If he could add more passes and more defending to his repertoire we would have one hell of a player on our books.
Fortunately Julio can now see from our existing starting XI what is required of him to get into our side.

Guesswork presented as fact. But they both feel entitled to play every game.
Totally agree with this. The issue with both Enciso and Ferg is that they are both on the way to potentially being great but with big gaps on their play. But they both feel entitled to play every game.
If they could just relax into accepting their squad roles with us while they develop it would work.
Rutter, Pedro, Wellbeck, all accept extended periods of 2nd or 3rd best when they're not playing well.
I think all players have scientific trackers in the shirt collars to monitor their metrics for every second they are on the field.Surely we use the scientific metrics to buy players, but once they're here the manager chooses who plays based on their experience and the team's needs? He got dropped because he wasn't fulfilling his role well enough.
