Normally I don't have an issue with it, having been here for years... but they're especially prolific and contain the same people recommending the same old shitty songs.
Could you provide us with your top ten favourite songs of all time please?

Exactly, I am so sick of the Albion echo chamber and their biases.

I also think we should change the name of the site to Mosh Pit Chat. MPC

Good for you - but that wasn’t the case for me - In March ’23, I was in hospital fighting for my life with severe Covid.😡
- Without content, NSCs revenue is £0. The site appeal is 0. I am rich in content and rich in appeal. Even though the original comment was (largely) in jest, I do generate a few quid for NSC - as does every other interesting user that generates traffic through content.
One of the ‘more appealing’ ways you could generate money for NSC would be to donate money to the upkeep of the site.
I try to remain unoffensive - talk about the Albion primarily (usually in positive ways) - and occasionally generate interesting content for the site. In this case, I'm recommending that the countless music threads are tidied up, because it makes the site look absolutely wank....
I disagree, the only thing that makes the site look ‘wank’ are individual posters occasionally but they are usually dispatched with haste. Of course not everyone likes the same content or has the same reasons for accessing NSC but Bozza went to great trouble to make possible for us to ignore threads even whole forums as well as individual posters.

Therefore - Instead of complaining about the site, why not use the functions provided to tailor it more to your liking and ‘clean’ up your own interface? - it’s not rocket science.

Then I pulled it up off youtube and made the students listen to it.

That's fair and reasonable, given the amount of knowhow about arrhythmias and that I passed on today.

The OP has been on NSC to know that there has never been any appetite for sub forums. Given that apparently he opens and reads every thread from top to bottom he will have seen endless threads on the subject and a fair few polls, they all end up with the same response.

I guess this is worth revisiting every once in a while and who better to ask the question than the highest revenue raiser on NSC.

Looks like it's still no though.

If they add a song that was released between 1974 and 1994 don't post it, as they gave the impression that they thought music from 30 - 50 years ago was shit. ;)

- On all major social media sites, it is common place to have the option to delete all posts and content upon account deletion. NSC does not have that option, and it probably should... but I genuinely am grateful to @Bozza for the efforts of the compliance of my request.
NSC isn't a standard social media site, it's a forum where all posts contribute to a thread on a particular topic. Deleting all posts for an account would cause the threads involved to become nonsensical. Reddit - the largest social media site of this type - also keeps all your posts when you delete your account.

I think @Guinness Boy might be referring to the times during the pandemic where you boasted that you were continuing with life as normal and not bothering to wear a mask, as you had natural immunity to COVID - because you hadn't caught it when some of your friends had.

But then you caught it.

It's a no from me.

One of the best things that brings me to NSC is the large variety of topics covered, and how a subject that i may have never even considered can appear, and be discussed on here and means that i may learn about something quite interesting as a result, something i would miss out on if there were a number of different forums on this site (for example - I didn't realise there was a separate Covid forum for quite a while, so missed a lot of the discussion around that in the early days of the pandemic, but had it stayed on the main board, I would have read most of it as comments were added.)

It's very easy on here to skip past topics or threads that hold little interest - I for one don't open the infinite jukebox thread, but that doesn't make me think it should be removed from the main forum, and it takes milliseconds to scroll past

One thing i have noticed in recent months which i think has made the site worse, is that old threads have been bounced / merged when something new around on or more of those in the thread are involved, however the updates are in no way related to the thread title, meaning i am less likely to have opened it and miss out on some interesting things as a result. if the update is unconnected, i feel they should be new threads

For the record, of the FIFTY threads I can see on NSC front page atm, 4 of them are specifically about music.

I can cope with that. I’ve never even felt the slightest urge to ignore a thread tbh. I just scroll past. Never been an issue.
