Just three steps.
1. Read the thread title
2. Let brain process that the thread is about music or cricket.
3. Don't open the thread.

Yep, good luck with that. Not for me. Life's far too short.

I've identified a problem, and presented a possible solution that could improve the quality of the board.

Because, let's be honest, the music threads are utter garbage to the majority of people who come here for football (and other local) chat.

Normally I don't have an issue with it, having been here for years... but they're especially prolific and contain the same people recommending the same old shitty songs.

See step three of my simple plan.

I do that, but new ones keep popping up. It's like whack-a-mole!

Feel sorry for the fans who come here without being aware of the function.
Fair enough. I put all the political threads on ignore and have found that putting a few of the posters who generally start those threads on ignore as well deals with the problem quite nicely.

Nice idea... but what if one of the political thread starters, by chance, posts a quality thread that you then miss out on?

It would be nice to have *some* kind of order, at least where the most prolific and irrelevant threads were put in one place for those who enjoy them to enjoy without cluttering up the main board... I mean, it works for the Bear Pit.

NSC does have competition these days. If new and potential users come here and see 20 threads of the same old gits recommending shitty songs from 30 to 50 years ago between each other, it's not a great advert for the site for young or new Albion fans who want to talk football.

That’s easy. I don’t really care about missing a thread on NSC. Anyway I still see your ‘quality threads’ despite your political ones

When it comes to suggestions on how to
Improve the board I’m pretty sure the last person we’ll be calling for advice from is someone who asked for their posts and data to be deleted and claimed to be “immune to Covid” and, falsely, claimed to be making money for the site before, with a total lack of self awareness, re registering with almost exactly the same username, having put the site owner to the trouble of deleting you.
