Good game, we both had spells of domination, they probably edged it as the score reflected.

I remember James Wilson chucking up multiple times in a game,he Looked like an extra from the walking dead in that game.
That’s nothing I’ve chucked up at half a dozen games at The Albion.

Having not read any of this thread yet, observations and thoughts from the game.

Fabulous stadium that is an absolute pig to get to and even worse to leave from! Falmer is a cake walk in comparison.

We matched and even bettered Spurs all the game apart from a 20 minute spell in the second half.

The result was f***ing cruel but we were pushing for the winner and got mugged 15 seconds from the end of normal time.

Steele had a great game.

Lamptey looked like the Lamptey of old in the first half, subbed 20 mins too late. Is he buggered again? Drove me nuts passing back and not running for the ball in the second half.

All in all a good day out that ended in massive disappointment

The ref was a f***ing homer and should have booked far more Spurs players than he did given how easily he booked Albion players. The linesman at our end managed to work out the offside rule in the second half.

Gilmour has amazing quick feet

Pervis tried to give away at least four goals with terrible passes but other than that played well

Stadium is good once inside but is very poor outside. Very hard to walk around the outside.

Worst ground ever to get away from. That part of London is a dump.

None of them were at the game is my conclusion. Spurs scythed down players at will without bookings. Where does this dirty Albion bollocks come from?
Idiots the lot of them.

Picked an excellent day to go into town, meet a friend, have many beers (hic!) and go to a gig.

Was there a game on?

That’s how it felt from the stands
Yer seems the people who actually went to the game like you and me feel differently to the armchair fans. Spurs missed so many chances and breakaways. Werner, particularly ,looks useless as usual.

We did have two 20 minute spells where we looked brilliant, but we have gone back to having little cutting edge and barely tested their goalie in the second half.

Everyone’s allowed an opinion but to say Spurs were the better team is questionable.

Here’s how I saw it, I thought we settled by far the better into the game and got our passing game going well with Lallana really defying his critics. I noticed Spurs started to turn the tide around minutes 30 to 35, then we had to hang on and defend well up to half time, which we did, with Steele outstanding.

Sadly for us that pattern of play continued after half time up to the Spurs equaliser in minute 60 which had been coming for a bit.

Then something slightly odd happened for me, the pre planned raft of Spurs subs Ange had planned before the equaliser, he did straight away while the Spurs fans were celebrating drawing level. I thought odd, why change so much when you are on top? And guess what, they did fade and within a few minutes it was us who took charge of the game. We looked the likely winners until the counterattack goal at the end, which was against the run of play.

The shots stats? Come on, they were firing high and wide all game, those can be disregarded as often wasteful and frustrated efforts.

I’d say in the end a very even game, won on a coin toss of a counterattack working while Fati’s great opportunity was not taken. It wasn’t similar at all to Gross’s miss at the Emirates, a game where we were second best. We were not in this game

having gone to bed and wrestled myself off to sleep after using some old Hindu meditation techniques to retain the calmness around me i awoke this morning to read the BBC match report for f*** sake they gave Son man of the match , apparently spurs were dominant and we created very little ......i give the f*** up , if a guy on 200k a week cant score chances like that and the referee seemed to think it was quite ok for spurs players to take our players out from behind , along with the ball ill grant him but then when Dunk makes an excellent challenge on the diving diva he gets blown up 10 yards outside the box front and centre.....blah blah blah take it on the chin and move on , unfortunately i have a raft of plastic Yid fans over here so my phone has been pinging all morning .......spurs wankers...!

I'm not saying they did anything wrong - more that if we had Lamptey and Gilmour on the pitch, that goal might not have happened.

Not their fault in any way, but I do think it was a risky managerial decision bringing on two inexperienced players for two such important players at such a crucial time, and that it might have cost us points.
i thought Lamptey got caught out on numerous occasions and Veltmann should have been bought on earlier.

We missed Pedro yesterday without a doubt.
His movements on and off the ball would have given us a different dimension.
Otherwise I thought we were hanging on a bit in the second half and gutted for that sucker punch at the end.

I went to the game. Saw Brighton have TWO brilliant 20-minute spells away from home at Spurs with 55000 home fans and our coach in Italy. The balance of the game thought we were better than Spurs. Should’ve shut up shop for a point

Couldn’t go so just watching the half hour highlights. Apart from the position on the pitch, Werner’s challenge on Lamptey is virtually identical to the foul that earned Billing a straight red last week. Raking studs down the calf and ankle. Perhaps a little less force but not even a card. Otherwise the ref didn’t seem too bad though, obviously, they only showed challenges that led to chances.

What a bizarre , angry comment ! Apologies if I'm not allowed an opinion.
Your opinion is regularly expressed here after a game where things haven't gone our way. A half pint glass that is always half empty. You of course have the right to plough that particular furrow if that's what pleases you. Others like myself also have the right to comment on that. Some of us prefer discussion to the relentless stating of one opinion.

I've seen him do it before - one of the shoulda-won draws at the Amex earlier this season.

I wouldn't stress on it - the man's a winner and doesn't like it when we don't.
Thanks Bozza. I guessed that’s what it was but wasn’t sure if I’d missed anything else. On to next Sunday and another trip to Sheffield.

It's very large but you can walk around the stadium easily it just takes a long time?

Those fancy beer machines and they just end up then pouring pints into paper cups after it's bottom filled :lolol:
