When we were in the lower leagues, I used to think it was a bit odd when fans supported foreign clubs over their rivals in European competitions. But now we’re here, I totally get it.

I’d hate to see them even qualify, so I know that Palace fans must be sick as anything watching us qualify for the Europa League KO stages, especially whilst maintaining a respectable league position and after having sold 330m worth of players over the last 3 transfer windows.

And with a squad with a decent proportion of lads who have come through the ranks.

What a time to be a Brighton fan!

and

Oh no, what a bad time to be a Palace fan!

Despite years of claims, counter claims, statements on cash and no cash Brighton are now the bigger club, the better run club with solid infrastructure, and a squad togetherness the envy of Europe! And, there’s Palace!

It’s the best time ever to be a palace fan, we have never had it so good in our history.

It’s a great time for Brighton they have never had it so good in thier history.

But at the moment there is no doubt Brighton have the upper hand.

I do love a perusal of the #cpfc hashtag shortly after an Albion European game day.

They really are bitter. Millwall qualified as runners up in the FA Cup in 2003-04. It was a full 10 years later that the rules changed and in that time West Ham, Hull City and Stoke got into Europe by being runners up in the FA Cup*. So it wasn't Millwall's fault. They love to blame someone else, just like it was the European ban that cost them a place in the early 90s (a ban that had been over for a couple seasons by then).

* Pompey would have done too but failed to apply for a UEFA licence after going into administration.

I know we have some very rational Palace posters on here and every club, including our very own, have a fair share of d1ckheads, but just lately I seem to have heard and seen from so many idiotic Palace fans, I'm putting this down to their individual frustration with the huge and ever widening gulf between our two clubs.

On the pitch that Huge and widening gulf is 6 points and 4 places !
