Usually teams rally when going down to 10 and keep it tight, we concede within 4 minutes.
Webster is lost at sea, f*** knows wats happened to him. Thank f*** JP V-H is playing well, we are very soft at the back at the moment, especially as we have no defensive midfielders sweeping up. . . Baleba lookd

Dahoud has been improving and will be a loss given all our other woes, It was a red but didn't look perticularly intentional or mailicious . . . If it was it was well disguised . . .a few Shef Utd players had that kind of reaction coming . . .

Never ther less we just look jaded and a bit spineless . . . .like we're playing twice as many games as out recent opponents! 🙄

If you’re genuinely suggesting you’d have preferred a win today over Thursday night, I’d politely suggest you should reevaluate that!
I know what you are saying but…

If we don’t start winning games like today there won’t be any more nights like Ajax next season.

Personally I would have taken a point versus Ajax and a win today.

I really don’t want this season European run to be a one and done.

Maybe because we are not City, Arsenal, Liverpool or Newcastle. We dont have the quality in depth that they do. We are BHAFC a top half premier league team who are also playing in a European competition. Look how far we have come since Hereford. We held out for a draw with a player less, yes we should have had the game finished by half time but we didn't.

Our fan base since last season is Embarrassing. So many entitled idiots who think we should be a consistant team challenging for P L title.
No but playing a team who has only won one match all season , and that was lucky , plus being the worse side to play down here this season I think our fans can feel a bit disappointed,

European away game hangovers and dips in form in the league are par for the course for squads our size competing in multiple competitions. The number of injuries and players who have had to play too many minute because of them was bound to lead to exactly these sort of results at home.

It's the word 'expect'.

You can't expect anything in football. It's a game that rests on thousands of decisions made by twenty two players and an officiating team. Expecting anything will only ever lead to disappointment.

I think we probably should have beaten them today but I never expected us to.

The last time I expected anything, Brighton wise, was expecting us to use one of our three remaining games to win the Championship and since then, not so much.

I don't like the entitlement tag personally, for what it's worth. I think our fanbase is at a weird spot given we've got loads of people who were around during the dark days and before and have naturally alhad an influx of fans who came along later during our rise to the big boys table and Europe.

People on each side of that are going to disagree on things like this.

Some of the comments in here though have a whiff of the Leeds / Massive about them though and that's disappointing.
All fair and well.

However, If we cannot have any expectations at all, what progress can we make. We will forever remain relegation candidates until we're not. At some point or other, expectation will catch up. We''re getting there now.

I'm not for one second suggesting we have a divine right to beat anyone, or to qualify for europe, win the competition or even finish top half. But you expect your team to put chances to bed, to beat worse teams. and inevitably, when they fail to do this, people get rowdy especially if, like me, they've been on the sauce.

No doubt i'll calm down in a few hours with the passing of time and of water and feel embarassed for myself, but right now i'm still red and steaming at the ears.

What a ridiculous comment. Our fan base is very much the same.
I and they are entitled to be frustrated over this game and others against bottom 3 or 4 teams where we have not won when we should have done.

That one's on Dahood, unfortunately. What was he thinking? To give him the benefit of the doubt, he was looking tired. He gave the ball away twice with poor passes just before the red and was (presumably) about to be subbed off. No excuses though. Not only did his challenge cost us the game, we now lose another player through suspension, with the squad already decimated by injuries. So frustrating.

I’m not upset with RDZ, you can’t win them all and we were a man down, whatever.

The thing is about this “exhaustion” stuff - it’s a game of football, they get enough rest - it’s nonsense, it is like when they roll about on the floor pretending to be hurt - they should just get the f*** on with it. They are paid enough for gods sake.
The weakest players today were the one who have not over played (Webster, Dahoud, Igor - 2nd not 1st half, Lalanna, Buonotte) recently. They're not helping us enough.

If you ignore Van Hecke trying to gift 3 goals in the game.

Atleast we have plenty of scapegoats this season.

Re the sending off there's been a lot of guff on here about it. He did what a CM does, use his body to protect the ball and bring it away from the player. Unfortunately it was mistimed and his foot went down the back of the players leg- literally the only place that makes it a red. Clumsy yes but let's not make Dahoud a scapegoat.
You’re normally good with kind of thing, so surely you spotted Dahoud had been woeful in the 5-10 minutes before his red? Misplaced passes, losing his man, poor touches. He was shot physically and mentally. Hasn’t got more than a good 45 in him at the moment, it’s very obvious.

I’m amazed anyone can say Webster is a liability when Van Hecke literally gave Sheffield Utd half their shots today !!

I feel a bit embarrassed by our fans reading a lot of these comments.

We're having a great season. It seems a lot of our fans have RIDICULOUSLY high expectations of what this team and its individuals are capable of.

We're a long way from being as good as or having the squad depth of the top six teams. We have a young and heavily depleted squad with challenging fixture congestion.

Of course we all want BHA to win as much as possible, and it's frustrating when we're the better side and fail to do so... but the lack of understanding over why we're not winning every game is incredibly embarrassing.
I am so sorry that you feel embarrassed over this.

I am embarrassed that we could not put the game to bed against the worst team in this league and,yet again, failed to keep a clean sheet in the league.

This - a few absolute joke comments by posters who clearly have no idea what they're talking about re what it takes to be a professional athlete ffs. I imagine written by 20 stone lads who've barely played the game in their lives, too
Makes you wonder how back in the day they played even more games than they do now , while going on the puss all well

He'd definitely got sloppy. He definitely gets sloppy. I guess that's just because he's played very little 90 minutes for a very long time.
But I just think a) ultimately it was unlucky and b) we shouldn't be in such a vulnerable position score-wise against a team who were as poor as anything we've seen in the first half.

We were always at least a full back short if not 2 , it’s come back to bite us on the arse
should of kept Undav , he was scoring for fun at the end of last season ,
We are not the only team with injuries, , Lamptey is always injured, Moder has been out fo 18 months , Milner should of never been signed too old , and Welbeck has a history of being injured
Welbz missed how many games last season? Was it three or four?

Other teams have injuries but not that many. Just trying to provide context. How many games would Undav have played after we signed Pedro and fati? You can’t have that many people ffs. It is dreamland to think you can keep all those players happy.

Sad for Mo, genuinely thought he’s looked terrific since Everton. But at least I’m now satisfied he’s a good signing when I wasn’t sure for a while

The frustrating thing is he was almost certainly about to be substituted.
