Well that was adequate!

I've had a rough few months and oddly this on the horizon was only adding to my stress/anxiety.

For Amsterdam Id taken all the other stresses and been 'doomcasting' the trip, spiralling ever downwards. (Sorry if that doesn't make sense but I'm not at my best this morning)

Fortunately, just before going kerblammo, I chatted to an understanding ear, most unlike me (can you see a trend forming), and got just enough balance back to make the journey, for Jnrs sake.

I then had the good sense to reach out to travelling Geeks, we renewed aquatintces and had an absolute blast until 2am.

The issues will still be there when I get home but hopefully, thanks to kind people, Amsterdam and The Albion I can start turning the good ship Stat around.

You sir, are a diamond. We know that, but that is only ever half the battle.

Take care, and see you again soon.

Respect for putting your troubles aside for the benefit of another and having the strength to combat your fears…maybe go easy on yourself for a couple of days as you recover.

Just coming round from an amazing trip.

What a win. The double over Ajax. Is this really happening? Yes, it is.

Spent a wonderful day not going to the Rijsmuseum or doing anything cultural but instead visiting numerous bars and drinking far too much Dutch lager.

Met up with some wonderful NSCers, chatted to some great Ajax fans on the way to the stadium (Dear Marseille, look at what you are missing out on. The chance to mingle with fellow football lovers from other parts of the world) and have now witnessed a rarity.

Will we ever do the double over Ajax again? Probably not. They will come back stronger.

Right now, I'm sat in a coworking space in Amsterdam doing a day's work. Isn't the world wonderful when it works? Chatting to fello Dutch workers and doing business as if I was at home or in my office.

Very happy.
