Could do a job.....

...somewhere else.

Retrain as a plumber or electrician and do something useful.
Don't besmirch the trades. What makes you think they would tolerate him?

I would not be surprised to see him turn up in Spain or Italy to be honest, they are catholic countries and the devil, angel complex with women can be somewhat strange in certain areas.
Possible. But no chance will anyone here sign him

Would highly recommend Adam Crafton's deep dive in the Athletic. Some remarkable details about how the investigation was conducted and how the U-turn occured -

Sounds like he's off to Saudi anyway. Steven Gerrard knocking down his door...

I think that's the nail on the head - they wanted to bring him back into the team, but they realise now that the reaction won't allow it. Rightly or wrongly, he can't be back in the Man Utd team. I'm sure he'll sign for a club in Turkey before the end of the window.
Yep in Turkey or possibly even Saudi his behaviour won’t seem a big deal !

But now they look like morons because they stupidly tried to keep him, have now read the room, and are now getting rid.
Oh yea - idiots from day one to think they could have got away with it - thinking with their balance sheet rather than their brain.

Quite right really. It’s not their fault that an asset that was probably £80M and is now worthless, and owed £8M in wages. With FFP as well as being a public company they have to act in the interest of their company and shareholders

Not quite right - the club is owned by a tiny number of very wealth people and a handful of vulture funds. Given the amount that has been harvested out of the club by the Glazers (and the vulture funds through interest) - the money for Greenwood is inconsequential.

But irrespective of that - a dog with a mallet up his rear end would have (and the Glazers should have) known that any attempt to reintegrate Greenwood into the squad would have been a disaster in so many ways - and would have had an enormous financial impact as- people would just have stopped buying merchandise (I had planned buying some kids kits for may grandkids for Xmas - my son is a Man U fan - but it's not happening now - and it not happening just because they contemplated bringing him back) - impacted on advertising and sponsorship - would have created instability within the club (never good for a company's financial welfare) etc. - and quite possibly some players could have opted against signing for them because Greenwood was there.
