Would be surprised if any EPL club took a chance, they all have Women’s football teams, so there’s an obvious conflict of interest regardless of a conviction or not.

Saudi Arabia appears to tick a lot of boxes.

It is the right thing to do - it would have been a major mistake to have kept him.

On top of getting booted by MU - the guy shouldn't get signed by any other club - anywhere (but you know some gobsh*te owner will think he can face down the baggage that comes with Greenwood).

West Ham look a good fit, considering their attitude to c***ish off-pitch behavior by their players
Think that's a tad unfair don't think they would sink quite so low.
Utd show what a sit show they are taking so long to come to the right decision

The most curious thing..
Could do a job.....

...somewhere else.

Retrain as a plumber or electrician and do something useful.

Clearly a decision they’ve reached based on the reaction over the weekend, flew a kite and got burned by it

Are they going to effectively sack him if they cannot find anyone to take him this transfer window?
Don’t think they can, he wasn’t convicted of any crime. He has a contract.

In a statement, the club said: "All those involved, including Mason, recognise the difficulties with him recommencing his career at Manchester United. It has therefore been mutually agreed that it would be most appropriate for him to do so away from Old Trafford, and we will now work with Mason to achieve that outcome."

It's quite vague.

Given there is a sense they wanted to keep him until the decision was leaked and a backlash was felt before it was announced, a cynical part of me wonders if they hope this will result in the window closing with no deal, then they will still be 'working together to acheive the exit', then 'he's just training with us to keep his fitness up for an expected exit', then...

That statement implies that the alleged victim and their family profoundly influenced the decision making. I’m not sure how else you could proceed. They obviously lost their influence once the public had their say on social media.

The most curious thing..
You would have thought that there is a clause in everyone's contracts about not bringing the club into disrepute?

Difficult to prove and even more difficult to enforce (possibly what their own ‘investigation’ was trying to do)……..PFA and/or his lawyers would be all over them if they tried it. Imagine it’ll be a compromise agreement of some sort.

If the Geordies can handle the lastest alleged atrocities committed by the Saudi government, surely they can cope with Greenwood?

My money is on Newcastle.

They wouldn’t need to worry about the impact from sponsors. Behind faux corporate logos, they’re all camel fanciers from the same family.

But now they look like morons because they stupidly tried to keep him, have now read the room, and are now getting rid.
