For the UK, Uncle Sam’s. Hands down. Double chili cheeseburger. Incredible.

A&W is a personal favourite when in Canada. Teen burger with onion rings and a root beer, next level fast food.

West is BEST
Since working back in Brighton city centre I have noticed the vast number of delivery riders on mopeds loitering around. Blocking pavements, riding like ****s, clogging up the counters at fast food outlets. I reckon the waiting time at places has increased by a third since these people started up a few years ago.

Some places have clearly hired extra staff to deal with delivery orders. Which works well. Others have clearly not and they leave you waiting for your order while they prepare dozens of orders ahead of yours.

Gone are the days of serving the customer in front of you.

But no place would be competitive if they didn’t do delivery.

I try to avoid fast food as a rule but an Uncle Sams burger meal does go down a treat. The milkshakes are bangin as well!

Pleased to say I don’t use any of the above these days, so none of the above.
If I had to vote it would be Uncle Sams, York Place and Oriental Place 1980s, last time I went to an Uncle Sams was over 10 years back in Eastbourne and i wasn’t impressed.
I have no idea who or what Uncle Sam's is, so l don't think this thread is any place for me!

Like you though, l haven't walked through the threshold of a fast food establishment in many a year.

Uncle Sams is an independent take away burger shop. The first one, which I believe is still there is a small shop in Montpelier Road Brighton, this opened way before we had McDonalds and Burger King in Brighton.
In the 80s there was also one near St Peter’s Church in Brighton and also Burgess Hill. Edit- And West Street Brighton
I see they have a few more shops now

The only burger chain that l can remember, pre Maccy D's and Burger King, is Wimpy who have been around since the 1960's.

They still have a branch in Horsham, l doubt there are many others left now though.

The arse end of Hangleton
Uncle Sams
McD's breakfast
I do like some subway stuff as well - their meatball sub is great if you can eat it in 30 seconds of being made - after that it's very soggy.

Do McDonalds still do their pancakes and sausage, with maple syrup breakfast? I used to really enjoy that. Many many years ago now though.

Not on the list but for me it would be Kokoro.

Their katsu tofu is great and it's pretty reasonable, get some sushi to go with it and you're set.

I don't really eat junk food but as junk food goes Big Mouth burgers in Peacehaven is good. It cost a bomb but it is nice.

This! It really is a cut above other burger chains.
I literally live opposite an A&W. It's saved me many times after a night out. It's so close, I can still connect to my home wifi when I'm in there :lolol:

Not sure but their Sausage Egg McMuffin with a hash brown and OJ after a night flight is GLORIOUS.

I haven't seen Grubbs mentioned in here, aren't they supposed to be pretty good?
Back in the 80s it was my fav go to burger and occasionally an Uncle Sams after staggering out of the clubs early hours. I haven't had a Grubbs in years so couldn't tell if the taste has changed. I have a Uncle Sams outlet about a minute from my home but only buy about 3-4 a year now.

I tried an Uncle Sams after reading about it on here, worst burger ever! Why bother if its such a lottery?

Does Toby Carvery count as fast food?
