I think the word is “rumbled” and to be fair to Dyche he is no mug when it comes to digging in when his back is to the wall. Our system is always going to be difficult to play against man to man marking or a packed midfield. Their two forwards had a blinder and showed the best 90 mins of counter attacking I’ve seen in a long time.
Fair play to them against our fairly knackered crew who have a lot of football still to play.

Disasterous day. We won’t recover from that. We will lose at Arsenal, Man C and Newcastle. Had to win today and against Saints. Now last European place will go down to the final game and Villa at home will win it. So many errors today from everyone. Wrong line up, tired, complacent, error strewn. Reminded me a lot of that game against Burnley where they outplayed us and won 3-0 out of nowhere… we just weren’t at it from the beginning and they were.

We got a footballing lesson from a very poor side, purely because we couldn’t be arsed.

You've posted the same thing over and over about Steele being poor and so and so should've started, the later might be true, the former isn't, he was superb against Man Utd, but it isn't going to change things. Just take a deep breath and accept we got schooled today.

why is that? I didn’t make today, didn’t have to queue for trains or wait for buses or wait for an hour to leave the car park. If those who left decided to get home a little earlier than fair play to them when they ere served up that shite. I take it you stayed to the end!

’Obtuse’ means being deliberately ‘slow to understand’ - as you were being about my points regarding Solly’s fatigue level recently. Solly may have been deemed fit enough to be on the bench but too fatigued to manage a full 90 minutes - the same for any key player - the same way we rested Mitoma, Mac Allister and Caceido after the FACup SF - not missing completely but playing them off the bench against Wolves. To minimise over fatigue and risk of injury.

Today’s result is what it is.

I highly rate RDZ as a manager but he will be the first to admit, this was a car wreck today born of difficult starting selection issues, us not playing well and Everton being very hungry and incentivised.

Move on and take a breath. Europe is still within our grasp.

Nah, Steele is a good footballer but poor goalkeeper. Big Bob is a very good goal keeper not as good footballer!

Agree - Dyche doesn't get the credit he deserves because his style isn't exactly pretty, but he's many classes above the likes of Allardyce. He got it spot on today, they blocked us through the middle, limited us to hopeless crosses from the wings, and countered very well.

Remember that day well - struggled to the Amex after Storm Dilbert or whatever it was called, only to watch Wout f***ing Weghorst score the first of three. We didn't look interested that day either.
