[Albion] Excitement Levels - Sunday

I went to my first game 25 March 72 against Villa and saw a stunning Willie Irvine goal and was hooked from then on.

All sorts of other memories. Great times in 83 cup run especially at Liverpool, then cold wet nights at Chesterfield, Doncaster and Stoke. I have seen us at Wembley 4 times and not a win and I remember feeling excited about all the games there but never the same sense of anticipation as I have about Sunday's match.

It will be amazing experience whatever the score but hope beyond hope that we show what a superb team we are and WIN. I really hope the younger ones appreciate how lucky they are to witness us playing the best football I have ever seen from an Albion side and a we see a whole new generation of fans.

Enjoy the day everyone..............

Love to be at Wembley but I'm in Sofia. I've pre booked a table at an Irish bar and very much looking forward to it.
8m very confident about Sunday. I personally think we will control the midfield easily

Very calm. Expect to win, which is weird. But won't be too gutted to lose, as I'm certain we'll be the better team.

What a time to be Albion.
I’m exactly this too!

11.30pm kick off here.
I will nod off in my chair at about 8pm, as usual, and be ready for the kick off.
On paper, we win, on the day, anything could happen.
Just hope we don't fold, or get Wembley nerves.

Having seen Manure last night, definitely feel like we're favourites. Now working week is over now getting pumped.

Not really excited at all TBH its a SF. Lose and its nothing. Win and its a final step to all or nothing. I may feel different after a ginger beer and a shandy in Central London Sunday lunchtime.

I’m looking forward to the day more than the game really. I’m terrified about that side of things. I know we are good but hey it’s my default position…. Jesus I can’t believe what this side could achieve………. Or might go tits up…. You see this is why I drink

Excitement as been building all week and started to accelerate this evening after reading the redcafe forum.

'Thank feck Maguire is suspended for this'

I think the Grimsby Town forum probably had more confidence prior to the game.

The bookies have us as favourites 🤯

Just excited and looking forward to it. My boys are massively too - they’re asking me every 5 minutes how long till kick off! 😂

It’s a very different feeling to 2019 when I wasn’t particularly excited and just fearful of being hammered and embarassed on the world stage and very different to the big play off games which were just a total feeling of dread!

Is this quote a copy and paste from NSC on any number of PL games since we got promoted to the PL? I am genuinely shocked by the negativity on there, I am nowhere near as confident of an Albion win as so many on there are :lolol:

“A freebie. This game doesn't matter at all. We aren't winning this trophy so whatever happens on Sunday is irrelevant. Avoid injuries”
