Me too! He is a legend and the best player I have seen play for the Albion from a consistency perspective over such a long career. I think Gross has been a great stalwart also. Scored our first Premier league goal.

I watched Leicester's pre-match press conference before our game against them and Brendan Rogers was fulsome in his praise of Dunk, saying he thought he was massively underrated. So it's not just us, a lot of people in football realise how good he is. It's just Southgate that doesn't.

Pascal is only 4 games behind Mark Lawrenson's total appearances for the Albion (having already overtaken his league appearances), but Pascal's have all been at the top level

He’s our greatest ever player. If you look at the level we’re now consistently challenging at, IMO he’s eclipsing what others have achieved. Someone like Lawro clearly went on to have a more decorated playing career, but in Albion terms it’s Dunky for me. Him becoming the first Albion captain to lift a major trophy would be so fitting.
It's crazy how underrated he is outside of the club. As a Brighton fan I've obviously been banging on about him to mates every time the England squads were being announced and most barely even knew who he was.
It was mentioned by someone on another thread - it's quite revealing how Cucurella and Bissouma haven't really settled in to their new clubs. Obviously there are more factors, but both of them played with a freedom for us that they haven't been able to at their new clubs (or have, but have been caught out) - I reckon a fair part of that was down to playing with Dunky.
White seems to be doing well, but I remember how complimentary he was about Lewis when he was here.

Agreed. I measure 'best' as being the sum of his contribution over a long period of time. People seem to forget that he was a standout player in the Hypia debacle and his goals as top scorer that season went a long way to keeping us in the Championship.

Not only left out for the likes of them, and bang average centre halves like Ben Godfrey and Marc Guehi, but Southgate picked Ben White when he was at Brighton, he was apparently about to pick Webster last year before his injury, he has had Steve Holland looking at Colwill recently and has, too infrequently, but more than once, picked Fikayo Tomori. We've all watched all of these play alongside Dunk and none of us, nor any manager or pundit has ever been in doubt as to who was the senior partner. I don't believe that Southgate can possibly be that bad a judge of player. Which is what makes me believe that his face simply doesn't fit.
