Think if Chelsea has a chance to keep him, they will.

If Brighton have a chance to sign him, they will.

It all comes down to what is really in that loan deal. Could be anything: no clauses, option, obligation, both of the latter two could include a lot of twists and turns.

My long shot guess is that Brighton wanted to buy him in the summer, Chelsea asked for too much money, and that a comprimise was reached that Brighton would buy the player for that originally too high value if he proved to be good enough to play x number of minutes or games... which does seem to be the case.

I'd be very surprised if this is the case. All the reports at time were that Chelsea did not want to sell, and then when he joined on loan there was nothing reported in terms of clauses/options etc.

My Chelsea STH friend is massively unimpressed with Koulibaly, a yard too slow for the Prem.

They signed Koulibaly 3 years too late (Aubameyang too). He's 32 this year and his best years were behind him. Typical Chelsea spending 30m+ on a players past his best

Can't see there being any sort of clause for us to buy him, he's an outstanding prospect and they really rate him. The fans will be fuming if they do sell him, they were already a bit pissed off about them selling other youngsters like Lamptey and Guehi as well as Gilmour and Colwill is a better prospect than him.

We wouldn’t agree to Leeds having an option to buy Ben White so I’m not sure why Chelsea would allow one with their player. It wouldn’t make sense.

We wouldn’t agree to Leeds having an option to buy Ben White so I’m not sure why Chelsea would allow one with their player. It wouldn’t make sense.

The loan agreement was made at the time that we agreed to sell Cucurella to Colwill's club. The fact that both clubs are very private would suggest that there could be a tiny chance of Brighton somehow being in a possible better position than other clubs.
I agree it's unlikely, but it would be nice if some kind of preferential option to sign Colwill was agreed.

It could only make sense to Chelsea if they needed to offer a sweetener to get the Cucurella deal over the line.
We won't find out until the summer.

Do you think there is the remotest possibility that he (and your club) might consider a move to Ewood Park - either on loan or as a permanent signing?
If it was the latter, what sort of price-tag would it be?
My guess is that you're no longer interested in Brereton Diaz as part of an exchange. You're doing all right on the scoring front, and Ben is out of form at the moment, anyway.
I'd be interested to hear any views.

With Webster still out I'd think we'd probably be more inclined to keep him with us as cover incase a Dunk, Veltman or Colwill went down injured.

I love this style, it’s a little arrogant and Everton fans were going full on Morocco with the booing/whistling of it. Colwill appears to have taken to it better than anyone other than Sanchez.

It does run the risk of a clattering late challenge which it seems refs are OK with until 20 mins from the end of the game. I thought Everton should have got two or three bookings for thuggery yet the ref chose to yellow card Ferguson first. It was a bad tackle but not as bad as some that had gone before by Everton.
