Usually 7 seconds I think....but not always in effect.I thought radio phone in's had a 30 second delay going on air, to avoid this?
Nope. When harty and I did the radio at the Withers, it was 100% live and there was always the jeopardy of someone swearing which apart from Alan of Hayward’s Heath who once swore as hawsey would read out score updates from all over the country and Alan would contact us apoplectic as he wanted to wait to 5 o’clock and get all his scores togetherUsually 7 seconds I think....but not always in effect.

Probably best to do it on all live broadcasts all the while a **** like Matt Hancock is in the newsI imagine R2 didn't think it was necessary for that programme........
my favourite was always when we were doing the phone in and a commotion was happening behind us. It was three gorgeous interestingly dressed young ladies handing out free tickets to a lap dancing club in town and they were trying to catch all the players as they walked past us!I do remember at least on Mike hunt on the phone in.
Hmmmm.....fancy that!I thought radio phone in's had a 30 second delay going on air, to avoid this?

you could tell the players who were single and out for a laugh and those who were attached and were trying to sneak past!
and the farmer guy who phoned in and in the background you could hear lots of baaaaing …… we asked him where he was and he was arm deep in sheeps bottoms helping them deliver their lambs! Bizarre!
