We move on. Shame we'll be seeing his arse hanging out of Spurs shorts from now on.

Whilst we all knew this was coming and I totally understand why we’re selling him and it’s a decent move for Biss, this really hurts. Far more than any other player we’ve sold.

Comfortably the best player I’ve seen play for us in 32 years.

The idea of us having a player this good actually play for us was a pipe dream years ago. I’ve loved every minute of watching him.

As soon as the BBC Sport app did its little jingle just now, I knew what was coming.

Good luck Yves and thanks for the memories. It's maybe a compliment of sorts that, in his time with us, and what he helped Brighton develop into, the squad has improved so much that now he's on his way, we won't miss him quite as much as we might have done a year or two ago.

But we will still miss him, a lot.

Yes, best of luck to him. When he wasn't sulking he's up there alongside our very best ever, yes, including Lawrenson and Ward.

If the 29 million Euro fee from the above tweet is correct then that's around 25 million up front. BBC are reporting that Mane has gone to Bayren for £27.4 mill up front in a similar contractual situation.

No doubt GT49er will be along shortly to claim both have been undersold as part of Tony's master plan to transform us into a bargain basement.

As sad as I am to see him go - to put in to context that this is actually a decent deal for us, Champions League and Premier league winner and one of the best forward’s in the world, Mane’s sale has just been agreed for £27.5m plus add ons taking it £35m.

I think Spurs might become a very different beast if Conte is given the time and the backing to develop them. I can see them winning a domestic cup at the very least next season.

Who knows we MIGHT look back on this thread in a couple of years as the day we sold a 30 million pound player and signed one for 10 million who we sold for 100 million

It might be a worry about how we’ll do in the CL without him though :lolol:

I think it's unfair to say he was sulking. He had a run of not-so-good performances but he never downed tools and gave up.

Good luck to him.

Good luck to him.

I saw him as quite a needy bloke at times, but those times were few and far between. Like I said, at the top of his game he's one of our greatest ever players, if not THE greatest.
