Not up against much, but I really enjoyed Bellingham's performance tonight. So silky on the ball, finds those pockets of space, uses his first touch really well to get away from markers. He's got a lovely languid confident style about him, and at 18 already looks quite a specimen physically. Looks like we've got a real star in the making there, what a talent.

An outstanding player already, direct, only has eyes for driving the team forward and he ‘turns up’ in the majority of games for Dortmund (consistent).

Betting that after good games tonight both Trossard and Moder will be on the bench on Saturday in favour of a half-fit Welbeck and a disinterested Bissouma?

Nobody is going to miss Egypt or Sweden from the World Cup Finals are they. Egypt are a pathetic borefest of a team as they proved (again) at the AFCON, so I'm glad they're out. Sweden make me yawn just thinking about them.

Well done Jakub. He'll be BUZZING for Saturday, should be a definite starter.

And i'm sure the world will be looking forward to seeing England light up another tournament!

He's got all the attributes hasn't he. I thought he might be getting a bit over-hyped (and there's still a danger of that), but on his current trajectory he looks the real deal. Looking forward to seeing him in the Nations League in June, and cementing his place for Qatar.

We've been pretty good of late, and have an array of exciting young talent. Even as a neutral I'd sure as hell watch us than bloody Egypt, they bored the tits off me every time I saw them in the AFCON. They basically play for pens from the first whistle.

Shame Norway won't be there and the best player in the world right now in Erling Braut Haaland.

They beat Armenia 9-0 tonight with a brace for the genius.

Nigeria fans going mental, trashing the stadium :(

Sadly it’s a pretty common problem in Nigeria. In fact it’s so bad that their top flight was a complete farce up until very recently where there’s been signs of slight progress. For example in 2013 when crowd violence and rioting was at its worse Kwara had the worst home record in the league and the best away record in the league that season. They got 37 points at home and 13 away from home.

That same season Gombe got 55 points at home and 0 away from home. :lolol:

Not at Brighton any more, but Ben White still seems to be a bit of a fringe option for GS - moved to RB after 45 minutes (although tbf he played there quite a bit at Newport), then subbed after 45 minutes in the next match. Slabhead, Stones, Mings and Coady still seem to be a bit of a closed shop (except for that bloke from Crystal palarse of course!)

So what you’re saying is we should be playing in the Nigerian league to turn our fortunes around?

That is the first England match I have missed since I can't remember. Didn't even know it was happening, saw it was on and didn't bother. Just seen the score.

Didn’t watch it but just looked at the score on the Sky Sports app which on the line ups has Ben White at right back?!

Can anyone who watched it confirm that England, despite famously having a total embarassment of riches at RB, played a CB there?!

Because our manager, is completely inept, so far he’s cost us a semi and a final.
from an exciting group of talent at his disposal, we get dull drab football, he’s nothing but a young Woy Hodgson.

Unfortunately I was busy having a bunch of Poles putting their poles up my arse so I didnt see the game but perhaps GS went with what GP sometimes did last season? Ben White gives you the luxuary of playing with multiple formations at the same time because of his pace and, even more so, how he reads the game. He can attack on the right wing and seemingly just a second later be part of a back three. When he is doing the job of two players you can put another player elsewhere on the pitch... which is obviously a massive advantage. In that sense White is quite similar to Trippier.
