Whilst I see your point, the timing after a loss, no wins in 11, etc might not be the best time to make up your mind. I can't beat the euphoria of watching the Albion win, no matter how many Seaford Town or Newhaven games I go to.

Seeing us beat Liverpool, Man City, etc - it is beyond my wildest dreams. Things right now are pretty grim, but surely those moments of magic make it all worthwhile.

And at least we aren't Norwich.

Norwich’s form is better than ours.

Not sure what people were expecting, since being in the Premier League we are a minor irritation to the top 6

Yes, but I've seen the big eared boys on farms in Norwich.

If they see a lovely field with a family having a picnic, and there's a nice pond in it, they fill in the pond with concrete, they plough the family into the field, they blow up the tree, and use the leaves to make a dress for their wife who's also their brother.

Feel exactly the same. Sad, really, but I feel the same way about football in general really, bar local non league stuff. Rarely bother with stuff like the champions league, barely watch weekend football on telly other than intriguing games... Definitely lost a lot interest in the sanitised world of predictable mega money football. Can't wait for Newcastle to spend their billions and buy their way to the top; that'll be exciting to watch....... Or not.

Maybe we're just getting old.

I hope I’ve got many decades left :lolol:

So many other HAPPY interests, Albion/Amex is way down my pecking order.

I really had the buzz in the Withdean years, as the Amex rose and during CH’s 2.5 Championship seasons. Lost its zest for me since.

Would probably be a different story if I took Cocaine with the lads at Albion games, then downed 6 pints of warm beer in a wobbly beaker …. oh, what a laugh was had by all.

Trouble is, we’re becoming an irritation to our own fans at the moment.

I think some of the very regular no-shows including me (must be countless thousands of us going by the glaring gaps at every single game), are wondering whether Barber will issue an ultimatum at the next renewal?

If we still had a 2k waiting list I reckon he might, but now thats allegedly gone, I'd wager any money, he will gladly take the 22/23 ST cash whether you go once or 19 times. Might get a threatogram but he's not going to turf out paying customers .....#cough .... fans

Exactly. The waiting list went.

Cash is king, keep all the DD’s rolling in, don’t do anything to disrupt that,

To quote Barber today in the Athletic "Unfortunately we live in a world where instant gratification demands for instant success or winning every game"

So it's your fault, not the clubs

Instant gratification :lolol:

Patronising ****.

Gratification once every three months would be a nice start.

Giving up my season ticket pre covid would have been unthinkable, I would have been at a loose end on the weekend wondering what to do with myself. However, since Covid and football either being paused or fans not allowed in the stadium, I’ve learned to live without going every week. It was nice to meet up with other friends on the weekend rather than the whole day being taken up by going to the Amex.

With costs are going up everywhere, petrol, energy, food. Fans might see this as an expense they can give up and just get tickets to away games and the odd home games.

I think the club are going to need to incentivise fans to renew next year, I can’t see them justifying raising prices again. Secondly, it’s well known that fans share season tickets, so bring back the old card style ticket and ensure the ticket is used rather than empty seats constantly. Finally, I’d also like to see the club include some cup games in the season ticket, perhaps the first home game of the league and fa cup rounds as an added bonus.

Having said all this we will probably hit form when renewals come out and I’ll renew again.

Or maybe Paul, we live a league where we havent bought a quality first team ready goal scorer in many transfer windows to address the same problem thats been left festering for ages. Will it take Potter walking out or the half empty stadiums for you to realise the problem is nothing to do with the fans demanding anything.

Jumping out of my seat occasionally to celebrate a goal or clapping the players off the pitch after a home win would be nice

I totally understand and agree however we are still in the avoiding relegation mode at present.

That said the football is better under Potter but until we find a decent struggle this is our lot.

Top football is just now too expensive and really poor value for money.

It will get cheaper I think. The 20 stadiums sounding like libraries most of the time indicates people are not having a lot of fun, not even those watching the top clubs. Football is only going to get duller the more teams learn from data to optimise performances, there will be less goals and more draws. I think the solution is to reduce the number of outfield players to 9 or 8 so that there's more space in the games, but that solution is probably not going to happen in an awful lot of years due to the 11 men tradition.

Probably not the best time to decide on this.

But I watched a conking 2-2 draw at the Nye Camp on Saturday afternoon which was much more fun….
