Having purchased a guest ticket whilst I am aware I am responsible for whoever I give ticket to I was surprised I did not have to give any details. Especially as PB said the reasons no passing of tickets was to know who was attending and so tickets could go to members. I see still 600 still available so assume all members that wanted tickets have got theres

surprised ? ha ha. i think you've made this point on NSC about a dozen times this season. I !!

Well that's the Albion all over, more likely to pull off the unexpected by winning at places like Anfield, yet finding it more difficult to put the likes of Newcastle to the sword at home!

I'll probably feel a tad more optimistic after my large Huss and chips tomorrow night though . . . until they tell me that they weren't able to get hold of my favourite fish and l have to make do with manky cod lol.

They had huss on Tuesday. Top tip, I find the medium cod better than the large at the moment. More fish, less batter. No charge for this advice:lol:

Well, I won’t be there as I have managed to catch COVID sometime last week. Just a quick warning, it’s possible I picked it up in the WSU at The Man City game, so I’d wear a mask kids when in the toilets. You know it makes.

You had this explained to you on other threads so can't have been that surprising.

Wear a mask EVERYWHERE when on all of the concourses tomorrow, (apart from when eating & drinking of course), not just the West Upper toilets, the whole place is a Covid hot spot.

Alarming to see so many people huddled close together on the confined airless concourses.

Rant over.

This is the sort of game we should be winning and I feel very confident. Whenever this happens we end up drawing.

I know the feeling. I wonder if seeing Eddie Howe on the touchline will act as a spur to the Newcastle players, Callum Wilson for one will want to impress his new, (and old), boss with a goal.

Bmuff to bite us on the backside perhaps? Hope my fears are unfounded.

When Howe’s plucky Bmuff always beat us in the championship and EPL there was always one constant - they were ahead of us in terms squad quality and starting 11. With Newcastle that is not the case, it’s reversed, so now let’s see how good Howe really is, especially as he’s up against Potter and our team is developing a really strong mentality, as demonstrated when 0-3 and 0-2 down to two of the best three teams in the league.

FWIW I’d be surprised to see him in the dugout tomorrow anyway.

I'd estimate that somewhere between 5% and 10% were wearing masks in the WSU concourse over the past few games. It's quite a simple thing to do when moving around and, to me, seems preferable to the alternative, but ho hum.

Yeah, actually that’s what I should have said. It was just that the toilets were the one place for me that were particularly crowded. The concourse wasn’t that crowded when I arrived, I moved out to the seats quite early.
I certainly don’t recommend getting it, I have felt sh*t for the best part of a week and although I’m early 50s, I’m pretty healthy normally, I run 3-4 times a week etc. That said, I’m gonna definitely miss not being there on Saturday.

To stop this hoodoo I would insist on current employers only admitted to the dug out.

Looks like Smug Eddie will need an Albion + for this one

As I have said on a previous thread, I caught it in the summer possibly at the Euros, despite taking a lot of precautions and having had 2 jabs. I am reasonably healthy normally, a similar age to you but ended up very ill over the summer and in hospital for part of that time. I am still not over it yet by any means more than 3 months later.

If those who think they are invincible and that this virus won’t get them had seen me at the time, unconscious and barely able to breathe despite having no underlying health conditions, they would think differently about it.

As I’m stuck at home for 10 days and missing the Newcastle game with a rotten dose of Covid despite double vaccination, I highly recommend wearing a mask…

Recently I bought a pair of guest tickets and the friends I got them for thought I'd pull some sort of fast one as they had my name on. Especially as all the Albion matchday info says you need ID to match the name on the ticket etc.

ID needs to match Covid 'certificate' - not match ticket.

I know that and you know that but the casual attendee doesn't know that; especially as the wording of the pre-match brief made it sound like they needed ID to get into the stadium.
