Might help if you were a tad more specific…

‘ As of July 2021, there were 51.15 million Facebook users in the United Kingdom. This was almost 2.62 million more than the number of Facebook users a year prior, in July 2020’

Source: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1012080/uk-monthly-numbers-facebook-users/

Pet hate of mine too. Especially transfer rumours. Apart from being a pointless post to make obviously, it’s crept on to NSC. ‘According to Twitter’ ? Sorry? According to a social media provider…? It could be me making an account and making something up or could be the player himself tweeting.

Allegedly £8m compensation, I could live with that

Highly unlikely. " Compromise Agreements " are restricted to one year's salary. That's the set agreed level between PL and Championship clubs and the LMA.

League 1 and 2 are set at 6 months. Clubs can pay more if they Unilaterally agree to do so but I have never known any to do so.

So unless Bruce was on £8m per year or Newcastle unilaterally agreed to pay £8m then I doubt Steve Bruce will get that level of payment of his ' Compromise Payment"

Interesting. From your experience, has the Albion ever paid more than 1 yr salary when they’ve parted ways with a manager still under contract?

£8m is obviously great but having to deal with this shite daily must have been hard..

Although Bruce’s hurt will have been softened by a generous payoff agreed with the previous owner, Mike Ashley, and believed to be in the region of £7m, the experience of managing the club he supported as a boy has clearly been painful. “It has been very, very tough,” he told the Telegraph. “To never really be wanted, to feel that people wanted me to fail, to read people constantly saying I would fail, that I was useless, a fat waste of space, a stupid, tactically inept cabbage head or whatever. It was ridiculous and persistent even when results were good.

“I think this might be my last job. It’s taken its toll on my whole family and I can’t ignore that. They’ve been worried about me – especially my wife Jan.”

They did that to one of their own. Imagine how they will react when an outsider fails to live up to expectations. Really shitty bunch of ‘supporters.’

Agreed, all this "great set of fans, etc" i don't buy it, everyone I have ever come across has a sense of entitlement and they constantly moan, it is boring.

The only case I have seen where a Club exceeded that was Kevin Keegan at Newcastle United and they only did it because he commenced Court Proceedings against them. And I have a feeling that they only did so because if he had won it would lt have opened the floodgates for more Managers to challenge the per set Compromise Agreement.

His was also different because Keegan himself walked out and his claim was for " Constructive Dismissal "

All groups of fans are the same at every Club. They were great with CH and he is still a bit of a hero up there but they would have turned on him as well I have no doubt as soon as results and performance became less palitable.

That happened at Brighton. Not all fans went that way but a large majority did. And with Social Media these days the loudest voices are usually the disgruntled. Managers just have to accept it and that's the nature of the job. It isn't nice but any job in the Public Eye gets scrutinized.

Even Bernie Sanders gets slated by Right Wingers in America and his only policies are to help the poor an dispriviledged amongst society.

Praying they make an ill judged appointment for the next manager and they get relegated! Fonseca is a gamble & Howe got Bmuff relegated..

Pray as much as you like, far from being relegated Newcastle will thrive now, challenging the likes of Money Bags Man City and Liverpool for the Premier League title before too many seasons have passed l reckon.

People deride Eddie Howe on here because of his Bmuff links, but he did wonders there, and he is a very good manager. That said, they can probably entice any manager in the world now with the billions at their disposal.
